No rain for a week so I am watering daily

Planted broom corn and beans this week
trimmed and staked tomatoes

picking from the garden :
broccoli ,salad turnips , strawberries, and from the greenhouse two cucumbers.
It turns out I do not have to hand pollinate , but I do have to water every day.
glad to have early cucumbers and now to see if the nasty borers can find them?
some new blooms.

Busy morning in the gardens , now waiting for the rains.
potted up several things . the blue pot in the front :canna 3 cosmos and blue lobelia.
the early potted canna is doing well hope I did not wait too late on the second one.

weeded a pepper row and mulched
Planted two more rows of beans

I missed photos of the cactus blooming , sad they only bloom for one day.

Well the little birds left the nest this morning and are having a bad first day.
It was 90 by 12:30 PM then a rain storm dropped over an inch of rain and high winds and dropped the temps to 72. Bet they wish they had stayed in the house Big Grin

It was in the 50s this morning
cool enough to weed the onions and do some transplanting. The ground is so very dry it is cracking in the pasture . I pulled Canadian thistle from around the pasture plantings
removed the tarp and planted a couple things , had to use the digger hoe to break up the soil.

Daylilies don't seem to mind the dry heat.

I put a watering tray in the pasture
picked my first onion , was out and needed it for soup, they are a nice size , wish I had planted more , but I always wish that too late.

It was 90 by noon and I saw 97.8 on the weather station.
the TV said 100 most places today.
