I live in Northeastern PA. Studying plants for many years, I am still amazed at all the choices we have in the mid-Atlantic growing area that can grace our gardens. You will be able to find garden plants and edibles that can grow in our freezing cold winters right through our hot humid summers.
The plants I post will show a variety of plant material that you can grow. I am an organic gardener so I do not use anything additional on my soil other than organic mulch. Weeds? I hand pull, pull and pull.
There is an assortment of wildlife who pass through my gardens from time to time and with the exception of the voles (I have been certified as the vole capital of PA.). Nothing seems to leave a big impact on the plants.
I truly believe if you give your gardens a good foundation of soil they will sustain themselves.
