I'm working with the local Food Hub as they try to organize a market for local small and midsize agriculture. I'm transitioning my spring tomato and pepper plant growout (~10000 plants) to a more scripted procedure so that I can move operations and involve more people. I'm putting together a set of growing protocols for year round production of herbs, both for culinary use and for the plants themselves. I'm working on a set of aquaponics systems, combining fish aquaculture and plant production and agriculture, and this has a difficult set of regulatory hurdles I'm jumping through. I'm looking at a series of steel hoophouses that need to be built on several properties, and possible ways to teach how to build them in the process. I'm trying to tackle the problem of organic composting inputs to be used in vegetable production greenhouses, and making sure these are both safe for the plants and people, and acceptable to regulators. I need to reglaze the geodesic dome, and that will be quite a project however I do it. I have a set of both personal and shared tomato variety breeding projects I'm involved with. I've done a few series of photographic explorations of gardens and parks, and I'd like to get back to that, expanding it into an ongoing project.

I keep busy...
