what besides bowling balls can be used for balls.. old basket balls or kids bouncy balls.. has any one done that?

Bumping this for you, Dana. I don't know the answer, but my first thought is that if it flexes, it wouldn't be 'solid' enough to stay together. Thoughts, anyone?

you know how some are hard but the rubber is wore off. but yah i guess it would deflate eventually
