Oh Mindy, I was poking around on line. I don't even know where anymore, several sites. It just seems that they pollinate (mostly fruit trees and flowering bushes) in early spring but either don't collect nectar or very little. That would leave pollenation of later flowers and most collection to honey bees. I just had the sense that having both species might be symbiotic and beneficial to honey bee activity.

Mindy this tells about the hornets but I watched a video of a couple huge Japanese hornets wipe out a whole colony of thousands of honey bees in just minutes and eat their honey. Killed all the bees.
Here is the video!

It was awful Mindy. It was on tv and clear as a bell to watch and horrific. ALL those bees died in minutes. We have huge ones here. I hang the bug zapper in summer and always catch a few in there that can't get back out and they get zapped.
I hate those things. I killed one last year 3inches long and huge around. It kept flying around me and I got a bat and swung as it flew by and got it. STOMP ,stomp, stomp. My grandfather got stung on his arm when I was young, and he almost lost his arm. It swelled awful and would not heal.

I did it again!!! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! I flipped and rotated my king sized mattress by my self! Thumbs up Everytime I wonder if I am too old to do this (inside of a waterbed frame) without breaking a leg or getting pinned...or both!

Inky is no help...he decides I must think it is bedtime and keeps jumping in the frame only to be surprised that the mattress is not there because I have it in the air.....wonderful fluffy bed for tonite all fresh with aired out feather ticks, clean line dried sheets, and lovely fluffed up pillows. It's not an easy task...once up on the frame with the mattress in the air and prior to spin and flop, without allowing it to land a corner on the plants wintering up there, I must remember the ceiling fan! Hilarious!

The first time I flipped my mattress I took down the ceiling fan in one turn! Had to get another one installed quick. *Blush*

Oh...I haven't done that...miss it everytime. But I did learn that the one in the dining room is a very good way to shorten palm plants...and the tops when cut that nice and clean root very nicely themselves!

Thanks to DH I don't get to just flip a mattress. No, he had to get talked into a pillow top/box springs one so now I get to figure out how to turn the whole darn thing without doing some serious damage to anything. My dogs stay as far away as they can get and still watch me do it.
Glad you still have what it takes to do it Jaimie.

Thing is it is always an after thought that I should put my phone in my pocket for the day it breaks me and traps me inside the bed frame.

...aw well, it'd be too embarrassing to try to explain THAT to 911 anyway!

Yes, I've thought about that and also know folks that really love the sleep number one but even professionals had trouble getting this king mattress upstairs. My house was built in '31 so the steps are steep and narrow and there is a corner 1/2 way, then at the top 2 corners 9with a room to back into) and a hallway. My bedroom is nicely sized but getting there with a king mattress (and bringing one down) is not an easy task. The mattress I have was good quality and is not that old so I figure that there may be some correlation between when I want to use the downstairs bedroom and a new mattress is due. Hilarious! If I can flip it, I can do the stairs! When I can't do the stairs, who cares! Hilarious!

Linda, is your mattress all they say it is? I called them one night about 2:30 to find out about it. She asked me if I had trouble sleeping. I said,"Would I be calling you at 2:30 if I didn't?" But I couldn't afford to get one!
