![]() vendor http://www.waltersgardens.com/ the spreadsheet updated 1/28/11 http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AjtJV24Qke7SdEsxZ21s... if you can think of another type of plant you want to add lmk. they are selling out fast and so i went ahead and had susan buy the clematis today. and the geraniums. all other plants will be bought ONLY IF i can sell enough to warrant the purchase so early sales will determine whether i add them or not. all of their prestarted clematis were mostly sold out so i ordered bare root plants. they are coming from poland to walters and i will receive them bundled in groups of 10. they are classified as grade 1 plants and walters recommends planting grade 1 bare root in 1 gal. containers due to the roots being so long. also apparently the poles had a good year for clematis as walters reports this year's plants are bigger than usual. and i gleaned that that might mean they have multiple eyes or whatever clematis growth offshoots are called. all of the clematis will be limited. and as i have never received bare root clematis i am not going to sell all i ordered. i plan on keeping a few of each aside in case i need to replace any that you order. as usual i am optimistic and if they all do well then i will have extras to sell after we see how they do. i am finding out now how to care for them. if orders go over the number i have set for each i will call walters to see about adding a few more but this may not be possible as they are selling out. also in the mix are hardy geraniums. if there are other plants you are interested in lmk and we can add them if we need to. i will cancel any variety that doesn't sell at the minimum i have set. especially on the geraniums. also if there are other clematis you are wanting then we might get them elsewhere since i want to hold bare root clematis to a minimum this first year. not all their clematis is bare root but if we go to the potted plants we have to buy 96 of them. the varieties below we could only get in bare root. prices include tags and patent fees if applicable. there is a 2.00 order fee for this sale. it was veronica's choice that made me buy these in the first place marie. so i am keeping one of the extras for sure. and i don't think you can take the blame on the first crocosmia not making it. budgie........i am not home but if i remember correctly the 20 count plants were about 3 in. by 2 and a half. and the 3 is the width if i remember correctly. and marie on the sedum................absolutely there are sedum that grow in hot places. valleylynn could prob. tell you for sure how well these would do in our heat but i am getting some of all of them. some of the sedum seem to grow better here in the shade but most of what i have is in full texas sun. |
