ORANGEOLA courtesy of lovemyhouse

i found a dream wholesaler in oregon. the trees are 1.5 to 2 yr. old grafted trees. they are dormant right now but only for a few more weeks. so we would need to be as speedy as we could in order for them to arrive here still dormant. we want to do that because shipping to me is cheaper.

the absolute best part ...we can buy one of each. no minimums. but the guy has 7 pages of maple names. i can't list them all.

if you are interested lmk which maples you are looking for and i will see if it's on his list.

how's that for now?

Here is our vendor. i think The only catch is that the plant you want has to be in 1 gallon stock. he might let us mix different sizes but not sure if he bare roots the bigger plants. will find all this out.

please note i added the vendor's link above. there are photos and descriptions. but after you tell me what you want i still have to look it up on the list he sent me. if it's not there we can't buy it i think. he was out in the field today and didn't have time to really talk.

Not sure if my Orangeola is going to survive the 25-foot tree limb that fell on it in early October. Since it is a memorial planting, probably good to have a replacement ready if needed, right?

1 Orangeola, please

Thanks Mamjack... yes, I will be able to pay anytime I get the bill. Can you give me an estimate of the shipping for lets say 15? Also, any idea what the 2 gal price difference would be? I'm in Mill Creek, WA. Zip is 98082 if using USPS, 98087 if using UPS.
Thanks!

let me go look and see what we did before with shipping. i don't do trees enough to know.

kelli........i don't know. all the way to seatle......... it might be cheaper to pack all in one big box and ship fed ex or ups.

i have no idea how many would fit in one triangular mailer........guessing 3 or 4 and maybe 5 or 6 if i really squished them and would depend on the branches and root sizes. 15.00 a box and would take at least 2 and prob. 3 boxes........that's 30.00 on the low end but more realistically 45.00.

but how much is it going to hurt if a branch breaks enroute? would you prefer i ship in one big box with tons of packing material?

shannon 1 tree to virginia?.......12.00 the most.

I have a nice big pot and a perfect space in my new yard for a potted dwarf Japanese Maple. I want to be certain that the grafted plant is suitable for a pot in zone 6a.

I really like 'Kamagata', but I welcome suggestions from the expert on dwarf plants outdoors in large pots in cold climates.

I'm fine with $30-45 and will let you decide what you think is best for shipping. I don't care if a branch or two is damaged. But I would think maybe all in one bigger box might be preferable... with plenty of packing materials. I have no real preference as to USPS, UPS or FedEx. I seem to get most bigger things by UPS so that may mean they are more reasonably priced. But I am fine with whatever you decide when you see them... 1 gal may not be that big. Thanks!

yes it is if yall want some of these. but i will say this............after i get what yall want together i want to call him and confirm it. THEN you can pay, ok?

after the last guy led me on i am a little skittish of new growers. these folks do have a good reputation. i am not getting any unpleasant vibes from him when i talk to him. so all looks well.

If he has a 'Kamagata' available I am interested.

If not, I may consider another dwarf variety. The grower has so many varieties. Is there an easy way to know which dwarf varieties are available in 1 gallon sizes?
