beachplant, you hear me playing a teeny little violin for you, right? You can plant amaryllises in the ground. LOL
Apotheose might be the sweetest-scented daffodil in my garden... I've been sniffing them all, trying to decide. The rain definitely bends them down, but a lot of them pop back up... and honestly, you'd love this one if you just shoved it into some corner and then cut them all for bouquets. Strong and sweet, like an oriental lily... and so fully double you could mistake it for a peony bloom.
I'd call 'Apotheose' a mid-season bloomer. It's been blooming for a couple of weeks, along with most of the double and butterfly daffs... late-season 'Geranium' and 'Cheerfulness' just started a couple days ago.
