I'm resting today so I'm over on AllThingsPlants updating my plant list with all the new things I've gotten this spring.
And I'm commenting on the ones I got from you:

That's a great idea Critter. I should do that too. Once upon a time... I could tell you the name of that plant, where I got it and how much I paid for it too. Now I'm lucky to remember the plants name without looking at the tag. Of everything I've lost to age, oh how I miss my mind the most. Sad

I'm right behind you honey!
I miss moving comfortably, myself.
But I FEAR the lass of the mind more.
There's Alzheimer's in my mother's side.
And I killed some brain cells in my 20s and 30s whilst "finding myself".....

I still remember most of the plant names, some of where I got them, but it often takes awhile to bring that up!

Sharing sale notices is just a gardener kind of thing to do, right?

technically this sale is over. andi i am going to honor your order at the sale price but then this sale is over.

critterg people like me and you had so many brain cells to start with our activities from our 20's was just levelling the playing field. Rolling on the floor laughing

christine do you want the berry timeless? i was going to keep all the remaining ones and that one never was put on sale. if you want it whatever you have already paid will do fine for payment. i can send the heucherella next time.

and i am about to put this sale in the closed sale section. thanks to everyone.

any remaining orders from this sale will be shipped out on tue. unless you have something else that is coming soon to go with this stuff. and that is assuming i get discombobulated enough after all this rain here to get organized enough to find all this stuff. i had started planting everything but haven't been outside in days to speak of. standing water everywhere.

also i think anyone who ordered broad street coreopsis got the wrong plant because i was sent the wrong plant. mine is blooming yellow with red.

no. i still have 2 i think. i don't even know why i kept shipping the berry timeless because every time i took one i'd say .......i didn't put berry timeless in the sale. and everytime i'd make a label saying heucherella. defies logic don't it?

Thank you! Sorry that I got in late. Life has been crazier than usual the past couple of weeks.

It is risky to put tender plants in the ground before Memorial Day around here. I put a few things out in the garden already. Luckily, I didn't have to cover things with blankets for surprise frosts. We got an early heat wave instead this year!

One of the bleeding hearts that I bought from you earlier this year is blooming already! What a cute little plant ( little for now, anyway)

That is a great idea to update your plant lists. I am trying to be better about making plant labels and taking pictures of plants. My plastic plant labels were "gone with the wind" when my neighbors helped me with spring/fall clean ups. They don't have a chance against industrial strength leaf blowers. A few potted plants were even flying about! Some plants were already without labels from moving. I typically paint plant names on rocks. My labeled rocks didn't make the move, but the plants did! (Movers love potted roses and rocks - not)

Summer will be full of surprises - hopefully good ones.

Those brain cells you speak of....ha! I don't have any excuse except a beer or two. I'm still looking for 3 eranamus and 2 canna lilies I planted and can't remember where. I saw some new growth in one of the beds today that I can't account for. Won't know what it is till it grows some more.

I find a place that appears to be empty and plant it. Darnedest thing is, I keep running into bulbs that haven't grown. Occurred to me yesterday, those were rain lilies. Haven't had rain in weeks so no lilies growing yet.

On the brighter side, my gardens are so disorganized, every day I make a new discovery. I'm sure all will show up eventually if they don't die in the sand. Ears perked up!

none of the pink canna is up here. i do have 4 or 5 of the stuttgardt coming up. we have not had a lot of meaningful sun. i will check the pink tubers soon. a couple of weeks ago they were still firm but not growing.

i planted my eremerus long after i shipped the last box from the sale. they were in the sawdust which kept getting wet from the rain. when i finally got around to planting them the eremerus were growing new roots and those long tentacles they tell you not to break were just rotting away. ? Confused i put them in the ground. the ones in the black clay are doing the best. that sandy loam bed i made Grumbling you can't trust bulk dirt to be what you think it is.
May 27, 2015 4:52 AM CST
My canna JUST started showing. I was worried about it. It's only an inch tall, but it's showing!

I got my eremurus from the home and garden show here just before mama put her sale up. But I planted them about the same time everybody got theirs. They are in clay ammended with bunny poo on top and consequently plenry of worms. They are about 6 inches tall now.

I think my eremerus probably rotted, too. I got home yesterday after being gone 10 days, and in that time, we had over 12 inches of rain! I see one blade coming up on one eremerus, and it's in bad clay soil. The older ones I have are growing, so maybe once they're established they can handle a deluge. All of mine are on a slope, so water should drain well, but the ground is saturated.
My cannas are only 6" tall so far, but I think the soil is too cool. Even the potted ones have been slower.
The eucomis, though, are huge! So are my hostas!! I'm learning which plants need rain, and which need warmth and sun. My pond is back to full, what a relief on that! I hope the reservoirs in texas and Oklahoma are full now, what a mess down there!

yes cindi. everytime i dig down here the dirt is cold. and i have raised beds too and that is what is saving everything here from the water.

i wish i could describe the roots on that eremerus. maybe the tentacles would have grown if i had planted them right away but that they were able to grow new roots sitting on top of wet sawdust tells me they really really really like the water in the spring but they want it to run off quick. so maybe yours will be ok on the hillside. how many do you have? when they bloom i hope you take pictures of all of them. i think i am going to be blown away if i ever do get to see a flower in real life.
