lovemyhouse has a patch of spigelia blooming now that is showing an increase. not sure how long they've been there or how many plants she started with but she has the beginnings of a clump. and i just love that little flower too.
fyi I am leaving for Indiana in the morning early. I know I haven't done my job in billing everyone. I will take all my printouts with me, but we are going to be busy, so you know I probably won't get much done.
It is very cool here today, only in the lower 60's, Jennifer told me it was sleeting on her on her way home today. That just isn't right. Maybe I should pack my winter clothes instead of my tank tops.
Weather is beautiful in Indiana this weekend. I'm in central IN; if you are going to the Indy 500 this looks like a beautiful weekend for the race. If you are NOT going to the race, it will still be a beautiful weekend for whatever you have planned.
Enjoy your trip to our otherwise non-interesting state!
I'm a grinch today........it's been in the 90's these past couple weeks. No rain. Over a hundred plants I have put in and doing my best to keep them alive. Past 2 days thunderheads came. Yesterday hint of a sprinkle. No rain here. The same thing is repeating today with T-storm warnings out. Dogs are restless with the noise, but still no rain on my place. I must have done something to rile up the gods to punish me.
It's been so hot and dry, the native plants are wimpy and depressed.
i hate it for you molly. my stuff is growing like gang busters. i haven't been able to cut my grass due to continuous rain and trying to co-ordinate that with jack's schedule has resulted in 2 ft. tall ditches out front. i am scared to death i am going to get a fine from the city but my son says if we get one they have to give the railroad one too. lol. i bet it don't work that way in real life. but one thing is i live on a state road and they are the ones responsible for the ditches so unless you are like my mother .....a perfect persnickety peggy britt nee ADAMS you oughta be able to feel ok about tall ditches. and we all know i am a hillman and therefore without that particular restraint of being an adams 2 ft. ditches only make me homesick for the real country. take that peggy!
