Todd, what a great interview! It's so nice to read about your interesting life and travels, and to see photo's of your lovely plants. You are an accomplished gardener as well as photographer ... and wow, a writer too? I wish I had enough energy for just one of those three endeavors, but the older I get the shorter my attention span seems to be.
That crevice garden you designed at work is really wonderful, and your own garden is pretty spectacular too! I love the Maple's, I wish they grew down here. Aaah, what can I say about that beautiful bird? I love birds and I've never heard of a Green-crowned Wood Nymph, I thought it was a hummingbird of some sort, it sure looks like a hummer relative ... now I've got to go google that one and read about it.
It's great to have a partner who can keep you laughing, sounds like another book might be in the works for you, after all, laughter is the best kind of medicine for this world we live in!

Boojum & Todd, This is a wonderful article. I have always enjoyed Todd's great articles and his wonderful photos. This has been a really nice glimpse into his life. I just knew that his gardens had to be spectacular. Didn't I say that Orchid growers are the most interesting people?? LOL
