I bought one of those 10 x 20 carports that is just the frame and comes with a big tarp to put on the top. It was less than $100. Then I got shadecloth and covered it with that. My delicate plants are in there. It's not ideal, since it's against the woods it doesn't get enough morning sun, but gets sun in the noon and all afternoon. Things seem to grow pretty well out there, though. I also have my Clivias, some Elephant Ears, Philodendrons and some succulents out there. Agaves are on the end where they get more light.
My vanilla vines stay in the GH through the summer, they seem to like the extra heat, although it can get well over 100 in there. They usually climb up a plastic shelf unit I have in there, but this year I have a dead cedar tree for them to climb up- I just haven't gotten around to planting it yet. Yes, planting, because my DH was unable to cut the bottom straight across (on two tries).
