He was my bestest buddy... and I still miss him over two years later.

Never! And the cats you have later never replace them. They are all different! I have had many pets come and go in the past, but this cat here affected me the most... and he went too soon. I would have rather been able to say goodbye as many get to do.

Oh my, that is a great photo!

I agee, they are all different. We at one time had five cats and they each had their own little personalities. I loved them all for who they were but our Cali really held a special place in our hearts .

I know what you mean. I have had many kitties and loved them all but there are special ones that you never get over missing them. I had an orange tabby named Oliver, back in the early 70's...he was only around for a few days before he died and I think of him every day, he had a cute little, round face...
And Horsie I will miss that boy forever!

I miss all of mine too. They each had their own personalities. Years ago when my husband was in the military we found a little kitten that we named Tweety. We already had a bird named Sylvester and we would always have people telling us we had it backwards, that Tweety was the bird and Sylvester was the cat ... we had to explain that we'd had the bird a few years and he knew his name so we didn't want to try to change it! So for many years we had Sylvester the parakeet and Tweety the cat! Sylvester lived 12 years which a vet told me was a long life for a hybrid parakeet. And Tweety cat ... we had to have her euthanized 2 months before her 24th birthday!
