My friend and neighbor, Tanya, adopted Sammy from a lady on her way to drop him to Humane Society. Tanya told me that swe was crying and besides herself because she could not take care of him anymore. Since she wanted a cat, she decided to get Sammy. He is the sweetest cat and he is very loving, hence Lover Boy, but he is ment to be an only cat and Tanya has two older cats. She is trying to make them get along ,but her cats do not want to have anything to do with him and they hide.
He is not attacking them , but they run away and they are unhappy.
We had him at our house the first time she brought him and our Bobbie Lou went into hiding and she held the grudge long time after he left.
He was very friendly with me and my husband. He wanted to be close to us and to play with him. It looks like she has some Scottish fold in him .
She realy does not want to let him go, but her cats are so unhappy and she has to think of them first.
I hope to find somebody wo needs a companion and wants this wonderful, loving cat.
Aw, poor sweet kitty! Older cats are the hardest ones to get adjusted to a new cat. Sometimes you just have to give it enough time and it'll happen gradually. That being said, I've got two older cats inside that don't get along. Each has their "territory" and their mostly stay away from each other. The oldest, Missy is the problem...she's frequently cranky and cantankerous and attacks Evie sometimes. I love Missy, but she is fairly pushy, even with me.
I feel so sorry for him too. I am trying to talk my friend out of giving him away and since she is home all day, all the time, she can try to be a referee and brake any incidents. If I was home like her , I would take my time to try to make peace.
I could not even think of giving one of my furry babies away.
Thanks for asking Celia.
Sammy is doing well. He is still with my friend and I got to cat sit him and my friend's other two kitties since last week.
He seems a little more mellow and understanding. He is such a sweetheart.
As I said , I had to cat sit for my friend and I got to get to know him better. He is a lover and a purrer (if the is such a word).
I was sitting with her very old cat X and he showed up too and gave me lots of attention too.
