Staffies are not min pitts. The are a very sweet, block headed breed.(you will understand when you look at the male ,Denny in the picture) My sister has two and I have friend that has and shows this breed. Every Staffie I have meet will lick you to death or beat you up with their wagging tell.
When My DS and BIL wanted a dog I took them to a dog show, tho meet both the breed they where interested in and my friends Staffies. My BIL kneed down at the ring side and a Staffie crawled into his lap and started licking. He was sold, DS was a little slower. LOL
You must remember to teach them not to bit as they have very strong jaws. Which the young ones will use around the house. My DS's first one ate the walls. The second ate the lazy boy chair.
They are very strong and much heavier than they look. I call them a tank.
Denny was a show dog and even before he was fixed he played nice with my big hairy brat.
When my DS's first female pasted away last year she get a little female and Wild Denny became the protector of his little girl.
If you notice in the picture little Spirit has a hair lip this was do to the mother becoming very sick and being on very strong meds before the puppies where born.
She is a sweet heart but very much a brat because of her special needs as a puppy. She is lucky that the cliff pallet (?) in her mouth is very tiny. They hope that she will not need to have it closed.
My DS is planning on using her as a therapy dog, for children.
They are very powerful.. My friend who nursed Spirit(she had to be tub feed do to the Cliff plate)and has her 2 sister, also has bull mastiffs. Now Angie is very small and light boned her husband Mike is a big guy. One day at a show I had a good laugh as Angie was walking this big Bull mastiff and Mike was walking one of the staffies and was being bulled a long.
Their nature is very sweat. They love nothing better than to sit on you. Thought 40 pounds of muscle landing on you is not fun.
