Angel is a Westie. I can't for the life of me figure out how to keep her muzzle white! We have hard water with a lot of rust in it and I think it's staining her fur.

Any ideas?

Try wiping that area with some vinegar water every day or so. It shouldn't pose a health risk and may remove at least the worst of the stains.

I agree, vinegar will be a good option.

I have heard about baking soda can be used as a cleaner.

A friend used to mix bluing and baking soda to form a paste and brush it onto then out of her collie's stained white areas. Worked for her.

We've been just washing her face with a face cloth every morning...just like we would...seems to be working fine too.

Hydrogen peroxide in a 1/10 mix with water to dilute it also works too. Just soak cotton balls in it and carefully wipe the stains.
