Meet Pepper, our 7 year old female English Springer Spaniel. She is typical of most Springers' in that she is incredibly loyal and loving. She sensed when my daughter was once very sick and would not leave her side. Pepper "cries" for dinner or to get a snack and tries to dog "talk" to get attention. She loves driving in the car but doesn't play well with other dogs. She's extremely protective of us. She is spoiled rotten and we adore her!
My youngest sister has an English Springer Spaniel. Smokey is eleven years old and beginning to have some health issues due to age. He is a very laid back sweetheart of a dog. This photo was taken Thanksgiving 2009.
I don't know a thing about Spaniel's. I know there are a few different types of Spaniels but other than that I don't know how to tell them apart. Your neighbors dog definitely looks to be a spaniel, not sure if it's the English Springer but he/she sure is a beauty!
How about the mischief level? With one demon child in the house I do not need another.
It will be a well before I even start to look-we are having work done on the house and yard need to get that all done before bringing in another dog. But I think I am going to look for a older puppy or young adult. Do not want the brat teaching a puppy bad things.
