After watching Pamela Crawfords side planting video at http://www.kinsmangarden.com/video I purchased three of her books on amazon.com. They definately kicked my spring fever into high gear. All the container gardeners will enjoy Pamela's video for free. Chelle, I just want to mention how I love seeing photo's of your garden. Thanks for sharing. I've been fighting a wet spot in a shady area of my yard for years and finally tried some elephant ears. I hit the jack pot. Right plant right place except in my MO garden they have to be dug up and replanted every year.

Thank you so much for the lovely compliment. Yours are beautiful as well, (love the little furbaby). What zone are you? I have things I dig up as well. My favs right now are Ginger Lilies. I put them in my cold GH this winter, we'll have to see how they did.
Well, I'm off to see the video. TTYS...chelle

Hey Chelle...I'm in zone 5 but I don't let it stop me from containerizing plants outside of my zone. Truth of the matter is, I'm a bit of a tropoholic. I try to keep things into prespective and add more landscape material but it turns into a bunny buffet. Adding big tall planters allows me to have lots of color in the garden without feeding the neighborhood critters.

Gorgeous!
Yes, those plants look very familiar. I just love Lambs Ears! For many years I admired them, it wasn't until I amended our heavy clay soil that I could have them in the ground. Now they provide something to look at nearly year round. I do a lot of containers every year as I like to move them onto the deck for decorating when we have a get together. Very festive!

Love your website Susan! http://gardenersdetective.web.officelive.com/default.aspx

Gardeners Detective is a great place to visit! Wonderful links, fun videos. The info you have on color is fun and educational. Now that I know I'm a "Rhubarb" I can focus on focusing. Smiling

Thanks for sharing all your hard work!
