AJ, the way things are going with the weather and all, I just want to have the stuff I like to eat without paying a arm and leg for it.
Plus, I want my veggies without pesticides. Already, tomatoes are are becoming scarce and expensive. I saw a sign at a fast food place that said, we only serve tomatoes on request because the crop was damaged and we must charge extra for the ones we have.
Duh, I WILL be growing my own this year!
Didnt mean to write a book, just splaining is all...
Hi Carol! I am glad to see you here.. as well as the rest of you all.. gosh after two days of snow the sun came out today.. all I did was cook and nap, tho..I love the sedum bowl.. you need some of that creeping sedum? Mine is everywhere..keep expecting it to creep inside the basement windows along with the ivy..
Remember: You get what you give in Life,so be careful of what you are giving!
Hi Debra. What kind of creeping sedum do you have. I have a bunch of different ones. I just ran out of steam redoing the bowl today. I will add more tomorrow, not sure yet which ones. I have a teensy weensy one that I thing I will put in. It is so tiny it almost looks like moss. Going to plant my WS collards in the raised bed tomorrow. They all have sets of true leaves now. The cold nights shouldn't bother them. Makes me hungry just thinking about them.
I have Brandywine, beefsteak, roma long, roma vf, yellow pear, black cherry, million cherry, jet star, early girl, grape small, and a new one called spoonfull, it is a tiny cherry. Hubby likes the big ones, I love the small ones. Peppers are on their third set of leaves, i will pinch tommorrow. I would feed the world if I could, and cover all the bare spots with flowers.. yes, that is a dream, I know. here is a creeping sedum I have, I let it trail down the sides of planters, use it as a ground cover and it flowers tiny yellow flowers..
Remember: You get what you give in Life,so be careful of what you are giving!
That does look like moss. Pretty cool. We have brandywines, celebrity's, suggary's and roma. Still adding more. Kale is about to finish for the winter and the broccoli flowers are feeding the bumble bees and butterflies.
Nice to see you. Hope you'll start your garden thread here. I'm looking forward to seeing all your Brugs.
Hi Jadajoy! You can come sit under a shade tree in my garden anytime. Bring a good book and we'll supply the refreshments.
I have Matt's Wild Cherry, Brandywine (Suddeth), Black Cherry, Marion, Bi-color Cherry, Black Sea Man, Giant Belgium, Gold Nugget, Green Grape, Magyar Piros Boker, Mexico, Mortgage Lifter, Peron, Purple Russian, Royal Hillbilly, Super Snow White and Sundrop. Can't wait to have fruit to eat.
Debra, that is such a sweet sedum, I can't tell without a close up, it might be Sedum acre. Does it turn reddish at certain times of the year?

Bowl looks great Lynn, I have one of cactus. Are they sedums too? Can't remember!
And yes RRM I am a Charleys girl but I thought maybe you had forgotten me since I'm not on here that much now
Jada - that is my kind of gardening. Sit down, think about it and take a nap! All that thinking wears me out!
Ok RRM, I am here and I am gonna garden. Please don't make me take pics of all the stuff I kill though - the site would be full! IF anything lives, I will post pics - maybe, someday - you know how I am.
Joe's Wife, I feel your very snowy pain! We got it too - and it is nasty! Should be over for the year now though, now it is just muddy - up to 60 today. Headed to the candle shop - I have orders that need to be filled.
Welp, I am off to do something - what I have no idea - but something!!
Shenanigans - MamaJack - without shenanigans, there is no Lori. I am always up to something and once in awhile it is not the good kind either. I am sooooo bad...what do you expect from a truck driver anyway? By the way, if we are throwing stuff, you know I am good at that - I can't hit anything but I can throw really hard.
MamaJack, Lori is right, That girl is always up with some kind of Shananigans and getting herself into so much trouble she could write a book. Ain't no team, is there ? We are all in tis together. They got snow flurries in Atlanta this morning. Wild!!!! Hope it stays up there.
I had to jog my memories, I know there is a fewmore of you Charley Girls are out there. Can't remember them all. I got you up there Carolyn and have to had Enid and Jadajoy too.
