Me too! I try hard to moderate though, too much can be overwhelming and not at all relaxing. I'd eventually like to get some of those water lily blooms like you have. They would be very calming to look at after a stressful day. They need full sun though don't they?
Hmmm, sounds like a winner! I'd like a water pond feature right by my chair on the deck. Tinkling fountain, water lilies, reeds, okay, I know, I'm dreamin' again.

I dreamed for years and couldn't get it going so I picked up a shovel and every day when DH left for work, I shoveled red hard dirt clay and took me 3 weeks to get my pond 3 feet deep and I bought a liner and started gathering rocks to surround it and wa-la. Had to start looking for lilies to put in it after I got my koi. Now it is full of plants.

That was the small pond. I put a canopy over it to let vines grow up over the top of it and it helps shade it from the hot evening sun so the water comes crystal clear in the summer. But it is green till the cover gets started! My bigger pond is in full sun. I have got to take a picture later of another plant, I'll try for a picture of them also.

Chelle, you got one mighty fine helper there with your camera and pictures, I bet when he grows up he will always love seeing things through the camera eyes. Two thumbs up on that one!
I just started clicking things (or hovering over them) and finally figured out most of what I needed to know. Go to file first. Then click on open and choose a photo to play with. Then just click stuff. The nice thing about this program is that you can *undo* any step that you took, and don't like, just by clicking once!
I picked this Columbine up for a dollar in the *bargain* area of a big chain store. Brought it home and planted it in the woodland garden and it put on some more blooms. I didn't have a purple one, so I was very pleased when I saw the color.

Chelle, I have some that are solid purple really DARK purple if you want some seeds. You can sow them out there in the garden now and they will make small plants this summer, but next spring they will bloom. Mine are making seeds now.
Do they come true from seed? I thought the hybrids reverted back. I honestly don't know that much about Columbines, but our yard is getting steadily shadier so I'll probably be planting more of them. Too many trees.
