Name: Stormy Valley Forge Pa I Love MAM ~ So Happy Together
Thanks, Karen. Allison may actually be in a colder location than you are due to her elevation. She is just across the river on the Jersey side from our Pocono mountains. That is the coldest spot in NJ. She considers herself to be in zone 5 even though the map shows her to be zone 6. Are you in zone 6?
I know Pittsburgh, I spent the first 25 years of my life there. In winter, we are usually a few degrees warmer than Pgh, but we don't usually get nearly as much snow. Most winters we do have a few short bouts of below zero temps. Our summers are hotter and far more humid. (My home is right near the Ohio River, about 2 miles from the Ky state line.)
Honestly, sometimes even I wonder why I live here. Cold winters, sometimes pretty snowy but not always, hot humid summers. And in the 30 years since I've been here, plenty of tornadoes, a few earthquakes. Makes it sound inviting, doesn't it?
