|Having plans of recycling greywater to cut the waste and save on my budget. Eco-guilt has been nagging me for quite some time. So thought of few simple ways to get wastewater from the drains to my garden. Need help from experts like professional plumbers toronto in replumbing greywater fixtures away from sewer and getting the greywater system and irrigation system installed.
Would like to start with greywater from the washing machine. In the second stage get a branched drain system for the bathtubs, showers and sinks.
Has anyone here done such greywater systems in the past? If so, do share your valuable suggestions. I may have to process the water, filter and use larger pipes and emitters to direct this water to the garden. Mulling over options of seeking help from professional plumbers like (http://www.brothersplumbing.ca/).
I did a research on how good the greywater is for the garden. It seems it’s safe to go for gently used water from showers, bathtubs, laundry and sinks. On an average, we use half of our water supplies for water indoors and the other half outside for irrigation. Thus, except for the initial investment, I should definitely be able to cut the household water bills in half by irrigating with greywater. A cost estimate would be helpful. Anyone who can guide me further?
