I never rip out the gifts the birds drop and I'm positive I get at least five different new plants that I know I didn't plant. For my favorite 4 letter 'F' word~FREE All my nurseries open April 1st but I'm going to do my best to hold off until the end of the month. Now that I'm old I look for instant gratification and just can't seem to wait for seeds. I garden on a small suburbian plot. I need to start putting markers by my empty holes so I don't break my neck when I'm out in the garden. For some reason I thought perennials were going to last forever. Wasn't until 2006 that I learned the average life span of a perennial is 3 years. So last year I thought ...this is just getting too darn expensive so I planted some lovely flowering and evergreen shrubs in one gallon pots. I see the bunnies have thoroughly enjoyed the tender foliage and there's nothing above ground except plant tags. |
