It is sad when that happens. Mine are going out. I was disapointed in the Heritage's from OneStop I kept seeds from the first year but most reseeds are red. I cant find any lovely violets and deep pinks.

Karla - Your red poppy is beautiful! Looks like a shaggy hair-do! Mine have been long since gone, so I'm amazed to still see bloom photos from you ... even if that might be the last one. I tip my hat to you.

They called these a crested pricklypoppy
They were growing wild along side the road.
Are they a poppy or is that just the common name they give them?

I started planting poppies because a friend had poppies growing. It is strange how having friends changes what we grow!

Its snowing again and I am cruising thru some old threads to keep from going mad.
I never saw the Hungarian Blue,White or Grape poppies.
I have covered this on other websites as well as this one.
Another gardener had the same problem with the same varieties.
I wrote to OneStop Poppy shop to tell them those varieties didnt germinate.
She never replied. I left a neutral comment on Garden Watchdog on the other site.
I have given her one more chance. If no germination from the new poppies I will give her a negative.
