2 medium, ripe avodados, peeled and pitted (easier to cut in half lengthwise,remove pit and scoop avocado out of skin with spoon)
1/4 tsp garlic powder or 1/2 clove of garlic, minced
2 green onions, cut into chunks
2 1/2 TBSP fresh cilantro, chopped
1 1/2 tsp pickled jalapeno with juice
1/4 tsp Tabasco sauce
1 1/2 c sour cream
1/2 c buttermilk
4 c chicken broth, chilled
salt to taste
garnish with sour cream and finely minced green onion tops

In a blender combine avocados, garlic, cilantro, jalapeno,and Tabasco sauce. Process until smooth. Add sour cream and process again until smooth. Stir in buttermilk and chicken broth. Chill until very cold. Serving with a dollop of sour cream and green onion on top.
6-7 servings
