| SWEET AND SOUR BEETS Ingredients 2 can sliced beets (16 oz each) 1/3 c sugar 4 tsp cornstarch 1/3 c white vinegar 2 TBSP catsup 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 4 whole cloves Instructions Drain beets, reserving 1 c liquid, and set aside. Combine beet liquid and remaining ingredients in large saucepan and whisk until cornstarch dissolves. Bring to boil over medium heat and cook 1 min. Remove cloves and stir in beets. Serve warm or chilled. 6 servings  |
