Sharon, I just found this story and is beautiful and touches my heart as do all of your stories. It is never too late to be What you might have been. ~George Eliot |

Thank you, Trisha. Save your old wool!! Maybe we'll have a rug hooking party this winter! |

Enjoyed reading the article on rug hooking. Went to one of the videos and to tell you the truth I've never seen that kind of work done. My mother was so creative, but rugs she made from wool were braided ones. I guess that is the kind my grandmother made, sure wish I had one of them now. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

Hi Pegi, It's good to hear from you. I feel really lucky that these rugs made their way back to me, but they are easy to make. You can also use a crochet hook, but the ones with the wooden handles are much easier to hold. Now if only I can find enough wool..... I've seen the braided rugs, too. But I love the designs that can be made from hooking them. Maybe you'll make one now that you've seen the videos. |

Gathering up the wool I imagine would be the hard part. You don't find many wool items in our stores here. How very lucky you are to have these wonderful rugs and beautiful memories. I'm in love with you pie safe too. ![]() Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

I think I'll have to search through thrift shops for the wool, there isn't much here either. Thanks, Pegi! |
