That competing realtor might lead to a serious buyer.. you never know.. Have faith, sistah! |
God can work miracles in a desperate, impossible situation. |

I spoke to the other realtor, and he's not promoting our place to anyone. |

Brought your petition to the church again yesterday. Will be doing it again tonight. There's the church revival going on, the visiting preacher has brought along his congregation so there'll be more prayers for you, sistah! |

Thank you, sweet Jaye! You're one heck of a Prayer Warrior! Tonight I'm busy selecting all the songs for the month of May (congregational and Choir Anthems). I'm having a blast, and it's sooooo calming, too. I pick the Children's Hymn (for the whole month - Jesus, Friend of Little Children"); Introit; Anthem; two congregational hymns; Collection (for the month); and Recessional (for the month). Seeing as how there are 5 Sundays in May, I've been a busy girl! Hope you're feeling better, and Kel and Murdock, too!! Take care ![]() ![]() |

Ahhh.. He's keeping you 'productive'!!! Good Susan.. don't let the devil provoke you with doubts. ![]() ![]() |

Looks like no one is sleeping! Susan up late, Jaye up really early! Still praying for the right person to view your house, and make you a great offer Susan! |

Bless you! ![]() |

well we sold our trailer - for less than we needed, but it's SOLD Now, if only the new "potential" owners can get approved for a lease on the property - the City will take their application and we shall see....... They're new to the country (from Iraq), and I don't know what hoops the City will put them through. Now, we need to get a place and put an offer on it....... |
Glad to hear you sold your place, and I know He will place a home with in your reach very soon! |
now all I have to find is $6-7k...........(Cdn, of course) In addition to the amount from the house, and the $5k a friend will lend us, we still need to pay for closing costs, lawyer fees etc.......... arrrrrrrgh. Ok, the Lord will provide, I know this. |
We are still praying for you Susan. You will be moving into your new home before you know it! |

The sale of our trailer fell through. The buyer decided they didn’t like the amount it would cost to move the trailer, so they pulled out of the sale. They even had bank drafts and had ½ filled out the application for rental in the park when they asked for the phone # of a trailer mover. The mover said it would cost $5,000 to $10,000 to move it, and the buyer didn’t like that, so they cancelled. We even had the realtor here with the paperwork to put an offer on a house we wanted..... ah well............. |
Glad you did not place your offer with the new house! My last hubby and I moved a double wide, and back in 88 it cost us $6000.00. Still saying prayers for the sale of your trailer, and the purchase of your new home! |
Why won't the city let you know how much it will give toward moving the trailers? That would help as a selling point, I would think.... |
yes it would, Barb. They MAY let us know by the end of May, or June. I've been trying to call the person in charge of knowing, and not getting any answer - it just goes to voice mail and they're not returning my call. |
I'd be sitting in someone's office at this point!!!! I don't get pushy often but when I do it's for a good reason..... |

I've been emailing the City, and finally getting an answer. They will not be letting us know by the end of May or June, of the reimbursement costs. Here is what they're telling us (it's the email thread - sorry it's so long.....): "Hello Susan I apologize for not getting back to you. I have been tied up in meetings on back to back yesterday and today. I understand the challenges you and other tenants face selling your homes. The City will be providing information on the relocation allowance to all tenants by summer 2010. I am sorry that I cannot provide this information sooner but we are still working on several issues (i.e. legal) prior to releasing the information to ensure fairness and equality to all Midfield tenants. If you have any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact me Regards, Carol-Ann Beswick Project Manager Office of Land Servicing and Housing ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: SUSAN MACKENZIE To: Beswick, Carol-Ann Sent: Wed May 26 14:22:30 2010 Subject: Re: Some answers, please, re: Midfield Park Carol - I'd been told we'd know by the end of June what the relocation funds would be. Does it really take this long to get the data together? Honestly, I would have thought that the City would have had a complete package to give us in March when they first sent the definitive letter. They've actually had 12 -16 years to compile all their data. I realize you're working hard on this, and it must be very frustrating for you. The difference between you and I though is that you can always quit your job, whereas I'm stuck, no matter which way you slice it. Susan MacKenzie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beswick, Carol-Ann" Date: Wednesday, May 26, 2010 12:47 pm Subject: Re: Some answers, please, re: Midfield Park Hello Susan, I am away from the office until thursday of this week, so I was unable to get back to you sooner. I understand you are in a difficult situation, however I am unable to provide you with an amount yet for the relocation allowance. In terms of the relocation allowance and the financial package (rental rates, lease agreement, relocation agreement, and time lines), I am still working on the information and hope to provide to everyone within the next few months. Regards, Carol-Ann Beswick Project Manager Office of Land Servicing and Housing --------------------------------------------------- Subject: Some answers, please, re: Midfield Park Hello Carol-Ann I’ve tried to reach you by phone, and leaving a voice mail, without any success. Carol-Ann – we have some concerns regarding the potential sale of our mobile home in Midfield Trailer Park. We had disclosed all information we had from the City, in order to sell our mobile, but without knowing how much the City will reimburse anyone for the move, the buyer we had last night withdrew. They had given a deposit, and were in Shirley’s office (property manager at Midfield) filling out the tenant application form when she gave them a phone # of one of the movers (at their request). They had bank drafts for the amounts they needed to buy the home, plus rental monies. They were there with our realtor. Everything was in place but again, without knowing how much they may be reimbursed, they withdrew. We need to be able to tell potential buyers the reimbursement amount. We have another potential buyer interested, and this is the only thing holding them back. Carol-Ann – we’ve been approved for a mortgage amount, and were about to put an offer on a house last night, but cannot sell this one without the City’s input. The house has sold, as of last night. Obviously we’re upset with losing the house, and not being able to sell our current home. We’re also upset that our current place has been totally devalued – we were being forced to accept ½ the value of our home because of the lack of information from the City. Please let us know an amount for reimbursement, so we can move forward with our lives. We’d planned to move to a house back in February, and we were finalizing the pre-approval when the letter came from the City at the 1st of March. Ever since then our lives have not only been put on “hold", but we’ve been left in the dark. Susan & Bob MacKenzie" |
