There's this guy who's living in a town not far from me, and coincidentally he's my ex SIL's nephew... he'll be driving 'home' to Breaux Bridge for the 4th. Wish he could bring back some real andouille and boudin for me.

Yes, Jaye, it is so good to be back home. I've never been to Robins. Is it really better than Pat's? That must be awesome. And you sound like my husband and son about the andouille and boudin. Not me cher'! (pronounced sha) I love real sausage in my gumbo. And boudin, welllllllll. Maybe I could eat some white boudin, but not the blood sausage. Yukky. But I am hungry for some good crawfish pies. Hmmm. Wonder where I could get some today. Diet? what is that? My son started on P90X and he has lost 25 pounds. Well, I am so proud of him. He is only 5'8 and he had gotten up to 325 or more. And I am fixing salads, vegetables, fruit, lean meats, etc. But me and my husband sneak out and go get ice cream. LOL We are so bad. And we both need to lose weight too. But , I think you gotta be in the mood. And I am not in that mood.
EWWW-crawfish-something from the sea-LOL I would LOVE to visit NO, but hope they have things other than fishy things-well with the oil now I am sure they are having to get creative with other meats.

Looks I got the new MP3 player figured out. My son got be a wireless router for my birthday, and showed me how to use the player, and download songs video's and all kinds of fun applications. It is pretty cool!
Well, time to go close the doors, the stupid mosquito's are trying real hard to make me mad!

We have mosquitos 24/7 here! I hate them. I go out to water the flowers, and they seem to come out of the soil. I have to spray myself with off, before I water flowers.

Linda, aren't the mosquito's something else? I've been wanting to buy one of those clip on things, but wally world has been out for a while. Glad to know not to get one. I did find some of those Repel Mosquito Wipes. Can't stand to rub them on myself, so I just pin one about waist high, on my t shirt and it seems to work fine so far. I also learned to wear light long pants (like the nurses where) and light socks. My mother used to always wear those thin white socks with her tennis shoes. Now I know why.
Well, I have to go outside and move my new coleus bed. It rained yesterday afternoon and much to my dismay, I seem to have put the bed where the water drains out of my garden. I had a pond right in front of the bed and some of my pots that where in front of the bed, were floating. Booooo............ So I'm off to start digging a trench or something to divert the water. Or move the bed and plants.
I read somewhere that clipping a Downy sheet on yourself would keep the skeeters at bay... haven't tried it personally. My sis in law uses those citronella pins or Skin so soft from Avon.. swears by them!

I put a couple of Downy sheets under my gardening hat.. so those (*&*Y*# buggers won't snack on my face. Been doing that for a few years now.
I notice too, that they don't like Tiger Balm. Had rubbed some on my arms and never got bitten! Must be the camphor scent.
As for SSS.. the guys working on the oil rigs or barges off the coast for La., believe in them! Ex swore it work.
Wonder if rubbing the Downy sheets over your arms would work as well? I read that rubbing them over a dog or cat is supposed to help them..... SSS used to be available in big bottles, but I haven't purchased Avon for years. Seems like someone said they sold towelettes too...?

Ladies, do you want to hear the latest in the saga of "Moving to Missouri"? I had an appointment yesterday for the cable company to hook up my service, Anytime between 8 and 5. I arrived just before 8. Now picture this: I'm diabetic, but did I think of food? Nooooo!!! Lots of canned food there, and a small oven that will cook anything. Guess what!?! No can opener! I couldn't leave, they might come while I was gine. So, I ate some peanut butter. I put away everything I could from stuff we had brought over, clothes, dishes, etc. I would put some out, and sit down. By then my back was killing me. I did this till I ran out of room to put things. My furniture is not there yet. About 12:30 I found a puzzle book I hadn't finished and worked on that, getting up frequently to keep my butt from falling off, {I need chair cushions for the kitchen!!!} till I finished the puzzles. Well, I decided to start reading a John Saul book, it wasn't to interesting. At 5 I called it quits, they never did come! I went by Mc Donalds and got FOOD!!! I called the cable company, and after several tries, finally got someone. He said my appointment was for this coming Mon. NOT!!!! They were supposed to contact me about a new date to get my phone, bbut not the installation! He apologised, for the "misunderstanding" but he knew I was mad! We're taking some more stuff over on Sun., I think I'll get Wayne to move my recliner, so I wont have to sit on that hard kitchen chair! BTW, I did have some small throw pillows and used one of them in the chair, finally!
I'll be sooo glad when this is over!!
