![]() It's that time again!!! Heaux.. Heaux.. Heaux... Eating we will Geaux!!! Lord certainly gives us a good reason to overindulge ourselves while happily celebrating the reason for His birth! We don't have to apologize for any weight gain as He gives us 11 months to lose it! |

You are too funny!!LOL Karen-she looked like she was a good size, so over 8lbs seems about right:) So glad they had a healthy little one. In the year 2010, the Lord came unto Noah, who was now living in the United States , and said: "Once again, the earth has become wicked and over-populated, and I see the end of all flesh before me. Build another Ark and save 2 of every living thing along with a few good humans." He gave Noah the blueprints, saying: "You have 6 months to build the Ark before I will start the unending rain for 40 days and 40 nights." Six months later, the Lord looked down and saw Noah weeping in his yard - but no Ark. "Noah"! He roared, "I'm about to start the rain! Where is the Ark ?" "Forgive me, Lord," begged Noah, "but things have changed.I needed a building permit. I've been arguing with the inspector about the need for a sprinkler system. My neighbors claim that I've violated the neighborhood zoning laws by building the Ark in my yard and exceeding the height limitations. We had to go to the Development Appeal Board for a decision. Then the Department of Transportation demanded a bond be posted for the future costs of moving power lines and other overhead obstructions, to clear the passage for the Ark 's move to the sea. I told them that the sea would be coming to us, but they would hear nothing of it. Getting the wood was another problem. There's a ban on cutting local trees in order to save the spotted owl. I tried to convince the environmentalists that I needed the wood to save the owls - But no go! When I started gathering the animals, an animal rights group sued me. They insisted that I was confining wild animals against their will. They argued the accommodations were too restrictive, and it was cruel and inhumane to put so many animals in a confined space. Then the EPA ruled that I couldn't build the Ark until they'd conducted an environmental impact study on your proposed flood. I'm still trying to resolve a complaint with the Human Rights Commission on how many minorities I'm supposed to hire for my building crew. Immigration and Naturalization are checking the green-card status of most of the people who want to work. The trades unions say I can't use my sons. They insist I have to hire only Union workers with Ark-building experience. To make matters worse, the IRS seized all my assets, claiming I'm trying to leave the country illegally with endangered species. So, forgive me, Lord, but it would take at least 10 years for me to finish this Ark." Suddenly the skies cleared, the sun began to shine, and a rainbow stretched across the sky. Noah looked up in wonder and asked, "You mean you're not going to destroy the world?" "No," said the Lord. "The government beat me to it." Note: Thank the Lord for rainbows to remind us that He won't flood us again. |

Love the baby pics, Elves, cartoons and stories. ![]() ![]() ![]() Hip is still giving me fits, I am just barely able to get out of my chair under my own steam. Saw the Chiropractor yesterday so should see some improvement soon. The bad thing is my Nephew dropped off his Lab Pup with us last night...and she is here for two weeks, not one week ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Have a good weekend everyone. ![]() ![]() Trisha, I sure hope the hip mends soon--I know what lab pups can be like. My son has one and oh does it ever wear me out! Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional! My Mom |

She'll probably learn fast. Labs are pretty smart. Our younger dog has a black lab dad and a golden mom. She's all black with long silky hair. She learns fast but is still a pretty peppy puppy at almost 2. When someone come in we tell her to go to bed. She runs right in and stays for a minute or so, it does give her time to calm herself. When she comes back out she is well behaved. |

That too cute! I have a chocolate that we call Sexy Rexy (Rex). He's the smartest dog we have ever had. Rex would get into food while we were away. When we got home we would find him laying under the kitchen table on his back with his paws in the air faking a seizure. LoL that was always our clue to go look for the remains of what he had eaten, ie brownies, lasagna, bread, candy bars and cereal. LOL I love labs. We also had a long haired Dashund, Isabelle (Izzy the Diva). They were a lot of fun together. Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends. |

I went to transfer photos and my battery is dead...as soon as it recharges I will post some Winnie Mae pictures. She really is a very smart dog and just needs a lot of exercise. Laura came over this afternoon and took her out for awhile and Bill took her for a long walk tonight. She is now asleep with her head on my foot so I don't escape. I think she will settle down just fine, and my hip is better tonight so hopefully I will be able to get out with her before too long. All of our best dogs have been Lab Mixes...I love them. Our other dog is a rescue mini-doxie named Oscar the Minor Wiener. He is totally the boss. It's so funny to watch them wrestle, but when he has had enough Molly runs. |

Trisha-we LOVE labs. If I had my way we would have a couple pugs, a dog on a movie I can't remember, a mastiff, a lab, a golden....maybe a few mutts....I have so many breeds I love!! I do know that with any breed, especially puppies, you HAVE to exercise them a lot, so good for Bill and Laura taking her on walks. I am sure you will be up an at it in no time:) Every person you befriend over a lifetime holds an impact on your life. Goodness Anita!! Faking seizures?? A friend had a poodle when she wanted attention bad, she would limp. ![]() Winnie Mae is a he? Trisha, it's adorable. Leave the walking with Bill and Laura. You got to think of that hip. I never had any labs, but have friends that do. One would bring its' bowl to the owner when its hungry. Made a pot of navy bean soup last night with a whole ham in it. Removed the ham when its' done, sliced the meat but returned only the bone to the pot. Our Hambone will get his favorite treat later this evening. Tis wet and cold... a very dangerous combination that will only promote flus and colds. I woke up to severe headaches.... upset stomach and threw up. Either my bp is high or I'm coming down with a cold. So, besides the soup, I also made spiced Indian tea. Hope the constant fluids will get rid of what I have. Don't think Kel will be inclined for a Saturday rendezvous. Stay warm sistahs and niece. |
