|Another of my mom's great recipes - she used the pie dough to make Butter Tarts!
Never-Fail Pie Crust
5 cups flour
pinch or 1/2 tsp salt
1 lb lard
1 tsp baking powder
3 tsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp vinegar in cup
1 egg slightly beaten in a cup
Fill with water to 3/4 cup (egg, vinegar and water, that is)
Mix dry ingredients. Pour in wet ingredients and mix. Schlep together gently, but with feeling!
