| Your mum's an artist Thunder. It's beautiful!! Do you have anymore of her work? Susan, I'd love to send you one. No need to do anything for me. I just love this pattern.. so easy to do. You've sent me some crafts "just because".. why can't I do it too?? Hello sistahs. Got a serious question here. My back isn't getting any better. I had seen a chiro more than 25 years ago to realign my back. That helped a lot. Now it's back to misery. I have started back strengthening exercises, they helped a little, but I still depend on pain killers. Can't afford to see any specialist right now, but would want to retain the more affordable services of a chiro. What do you think? Should I allow the chiro to manipulate my back? |

| thanks Jaye. My Momma is a very talented artist....she works with many mediums. she is a fantastic knitter. I have a few beautiful scarves she has made, and she has done many many childrens scarf and hat sets, that her local food bank gives out to families that get food. she also makes prayer / cancer shawls, that are given out at one of the hospitals near where she lives. she is a breast cancer survivor  she also carves wood, makes many beautiful things..... she is an amazing woman. I have never been to a chiro, so I can't say anything about that... here are a few pictures of things my Momma has made   like I said....she is amazing |

| Oh Thunder that wood work is amazing! Jaye, I see nothing wrong with a chiro, I see mine at least once a month, more often when needed, and he helps me so much! Once you pick one out he should do an evaluation, and tell you what can and can't be adjusted. |

| I agree with Taters, Jaye. Get a consult to a chiro...give him/her a good history and in return he/she sould give you an exam and even do a set of x-rays and then sit down with you and give you the knowledge you need to make a decision or follow through woth treatment. Some chiro's have specials where you can get all this first meeting done for free or at a reduced cost. Mine is a darling. He charges medicare for my sessions and that is it...no co-pay. Don't know what I will do when he finally retires. Of course he is still a youngster...only in his 70's but he is the best. | Thunder - your momma is great! Love the carvings!! Jaye - get thee to a chiro! Use one that is recommended, cuz just like Drs - there are quacks out there, and I've had them. I've also had Fantastic Ones that I wish I were still in the same city as....... I remember Dr. Mike, who moved to Fargo ND, and then when he moved back to Winnipeg, I searched him out!!!  Now that I'm in Calgary of course I can't see Dr. Mike, but he was fabulous........ and his rep was spoken of by other chiros too! |

| Well, my Sister just called, Dad was supposed to have an angiogram this morning to determine how bad the circulation is in his legs, first thing they did was test his blood to determine how thin it was, and it was too thin, (even though he has not had his blood thinner pills for 5 days) they also said that Dad is in stage 3 kidney failure, as the fluids were not passing through his kidneys as they should be, so they could not do the angiogram. Which means he can not be sedated for any type of surgery. So now we are back to square one with the toe amputation surgery. It can't be done. Which means the bone infection will only continue to spread. When my Sister took him to the family Dr. yesterday, he looked at Dad's chart and told Dad he is one tough nut, with all the medical problems you have, he should not be alive! |

| Hang in there LK. Will be tough when you see him, but know that God will do what's best for your dad. Enjoy your stay with him. Yes, we'll continue to pray. Thunder, your mum is so talented and brave.. re: cancer survivor!!! Love those carvings!! Only thing I could do with wood is to polish them!  Thank you LK, Dorothy and Susan. Yes I'll look around for a good chiro. I've seen pamphlets where some chiros offered discounts, like you've said Dorothy. Hopefully my back can wait till December as that's the month the 'books' can be cooked!!  The chiro that I used, who's wonderful, back in Louisiana, is now a medical doctor. I'm sure his patients are grateful to have him! |
