Charleen, I have have received emails or calls from Skype, I turn it on when I am using it, and make sure I log out when I am done! Jaye, you need to be happy, and if that means moving to France so be it! We will still keep in touch through these computers. Maybe you could watch the games on the computer too? |

I think Jaye needs to take about a month's vacation and go see her sister...see the sights and relax..then come back to us refreshed. http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

Lost you for a while. Oh no, Jaye, I do understand your thinking but let me say..it would be a hard blow for me. You are the first I met on DG and got me involved. Take each day at a time and let's see what the future holds. A month's vacation I think would be very good for you...with your sister!!! Well Ladies, we did make it possible for mom to go home for a while. The arrangements were something else and my not being able to go down was rough. She spent 3 1/2 hours at the house, saw all her fruit trees, loved the cats, had lunch but then the pain set in from being up so long she asked to be taken back to the nursing home. Prayers have been answered!!! Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional! My Mom |

Another "We Believe" moment!!!! Im' really happy for her Marion. And I'm really happy for your sister that Mom wanted to go back and did not think she was staying. God is good and you and your family were blessed with one of HIis miracles. |
Thank God that your Mom wanted to return to the nursing home - her Home now, obviously!! ![]() Yes, Jaye - wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to afford a trip to France for a month? At first Kel would be able to do all his Mom wanted for him, but in very short order he'd be missing you terribly. It would probably be a good thing for him to realize Just How Much he'd miss you. Y'know what they say - "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" ![]() |

Nice day, if only we could have more days like this. It gets really chilly at night, just hope all the plants don't mind. Talking about more rain the end of the week, we need steady rain not just a few sprinkles here and there. Well, back to cleaning up after my litlle chewing Mandy. She has plenty of toys, but seems to enjoy shredding paper instead. I'm all going to France with you Jaye and meeting part of your family. We seem to have the same problem though, lack of money. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |
hey, I'll join you in France, ok? Not far from Scotland then (Bob's and my mom's ancestors)...... cross the Channel to England, the north to Scotland!! Hey, could go to Yorkshire, England, where my Dad's family is from...... ![]() |

Oh Marion, God has calmed your fears too! Your mother knows where she'll be pampered, ever thought of that? You and your sister may be family, but she's recognising the truth that she's getting much better care at the nursing home. I bet, she's also the kind of mum that doesn't like to impose on her kids. Dorothy, in fact, I was supposed to see her last year. As Pegi said.. money wasn't there. Hopefully, I can do it in Spring of 2014.. may have to miss Sue's sistah gathering ![]() If I were to go, it would be 6 weeks. These old legs can see all the sights in 2!! ![]() ![]() Susan, I can assure you that he won't miss me. When I helped my BFF in Houston for 5 weeks, his parents were greatful that they could have him for 24/7. Even in sleep!! Only time he'd be thinking of me is when our favorite shows come on, he's hungry or he needs the wifely company ![]() Oh wait.. he might miss me more now.. he'd have to feed the kids!! ![]() Sistahs, wouldn't it be nice if we all could do that European vacation together? Okay.. I know none of us is rich.. so let's start buying lottery tickets ![]() Kel has, and the most he won is $10. That's enough to buy a guide book!! ![]() ![]() |

Susan, you know that if one of us accompanies Jaye all of us must go...you can't have all the fun... ![]() http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

![]() ![]() ![]() Making dinner - interesting what you can make (stirfry) with hotdogs ![]() Jaye - I still have some of that Creole seasoning you sent me once-upon-a-time. It was a pretty large container, after all!! ![]() |
lets see...hot dogs...I have diced them into scrambled eggs, put them into top raman, used them as the meat for a veg. soup, cut them into mac and cheese (grandsons like it this way) and as a stirfry meat with broccoli, cauliflower and mushrooms with baby spinach...so yeah, there are several ways to use them...anyone think of something else? http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

how about in a bun with mustard & relish? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Dorothy, my mom used to put hot dogs in sauerkraut, if she didn't have pork. Of course, us kids hated the smell of sauerkraut, and Mom's rule was we had to eat some of whatever she put on the table. So we mixed the sauerkraut into the mashed potatoes and it didn't taste that bad. And as long as we had a piece of bread for the hot dog, it covered up some of the sauerkraut flavor.... ![]() |
the ONLY way I like a hot dog is buried in sauerkraut ![]() |
I never had a hot dog with sauerkraut, until I was in my 40's..... I like it, but my DH doesn't. Gotta have cheese, too, y'know! ![]() |
I'm all for a foot long with chili and cheese and a wee bit of ketchsup. Plays havoc with me so I don't do it often though. |
Oh yes, hot dog and sauerkraut is a must! Oh and with a bit of horseradish...can't go wrong with that....(am I showing my German heritage yet?) http://cubits.org http://cubits.org/gourds/ http://cubits.org/Diabetes/ http://cubits.org/DMEnterprises/store Tahlmorra lujhala mei wiccan (The fate of a man rests always within the hands of the gods) |

I have German roots on paternal side, German, Irish, Scot on maternal side. Seems like we always had kraut at least once a month, lots of potatoes, onions and the men had this thing for the horseradish. Maternal Gpa had a mustard, onion sandwich thing and Paternal Gpa loved horseradish, and german type mustard with onions.. I did finally decided I like kraut, but not that canned stuff Mom used. Has to be the cello bagged in the chilled dept! I remember Gma making kraut one summer - oh my, can't forget that smell! ![]() ![]() Veteran's Day today, remembering all our family members today as Hubby is working on his genealogy pages. Lots of military on his side, mine not so many.. but we have plenty of friends that are. Working on Bella's quilt today, had a date with Hubby yesterday, so didn't get any sewing done. A big Thank You to our Military and Vets, to any Sistahs that have served! ![]() |

Come on now.. nothing like hotdog and chilli, with extra onions and if I could, add jalapenos! All beef hot dog is what I prefer! Kel loves his with mustard, onions and some pickled relish. Morning sistahs. Think I'll make a trip to Sonic's and get hotdogs!! ![]() ![]() |
