I'm not a chili dog person, but Hubby sure is! I'm a hot dog and yellow mustard plain Jane! But on occasion I've done the mustard, relish and onion thing. Shoot, we didn't even know there was such a thing as beef dogs until I got married! Hot dogs were cheap and easy for Mom to feed us kids and when Dad cooked them out on the grill, we thought we had hit the jackpot!
The best dogs are the ones that are fresh made from the butcher or locker plants. There was a slaughter house back home that also had a storefront, we used to buy Christmas hams there, oh wow- what a difference than what you buy at the grocery! And the sausage and frankfurters were soooo good!
ok, I really got to get back to the sewing room.......
What? No beanie weenies mentioned? I add mine to potato soup sometimes but my favorite is with spicy mustard. Do like chili dogs but don't do that very often.
A huge thanks to all our veterans and their families. Another one to the parents that raised them.

Oh Marion, I just thought of Beanies & Weenies too, still love em and potato soup.. Love kraut too, with sausage or ribs. We made it one time when we had a good crop of cabbage, put it in the garage to do it's thing. Yes I agree , had to be the bagged stuff, my momma said so!
OK Jaye if I'm going to Sonic, I'm gonna have a chocolate malt too. Just a small one though. Good thing we don't have them here.
Forgot to mention, I love kraut also. Mom used to stuff duck with it and oh, was it yummy!! Kim doesn't eat it so don't buy it any more.
Had dinner with my son and Catie-Beth on Friday night. Afterwards we went to the Marble Slab for some ice cream....Catie-Beth has been asking for a very long time and dad said yes. Good dad! It was chilly but a very pleasant evening so we sat and chatted awhile. About 9 I happened to look at Kim and the picture is what I saw. Can you say "past bedtime?".

kyle's last graduation 9.14 I have always thought he looks very good in white !! Malena and her Daddy making breakfast tinkerbell my Momma and Kyle....why do these boys always have to make faces???
I think any man or woman looks nice in uniform! But yes, that sailor boy definitely does that uniform proud! Congrats on having such lovely family, Thunder!
And Malena is really growing up, such a cutie... Daddy will have reason to be nervous when she gets older.!!!
My youngest was always making faces in family pics, no matter where we were. The oldest was good about it, but Micah liked to be silly. He still is.... I can just imagine what Bella will learn from her daddy.
Marion, such a sweet picture! You can really tell there is a bond there.
PS Its probably a good thing I don't have a picture of JD in a uniform... just sayin'....
Great pictures Thunder. Thanks to your sons for their service.
Kathy, Catie-Beth adores Kim...loves nothing better than to tease her but don't say anything about Kim as she will come up fighting. That is HER Kimmie, BTW, she is one of a very few who gets away calling her that!! Most pictures we have CB is making faces..this just happened to be an odd moment.

I love beef hot dogs too, with mustard and or sauerkraut. I also like bacon wrapped hot dogs, you can cook them in the oven or deep fry them!
Love those pictures Marion and Thunder!

deep fried hot dogs......... talk about putting "mystery meat" into "mystery oil"
I say that because I re-use oil to cook french fries, onion rings, etc, then at the last I cook some sort of meat, then it's "outta here" for the oil.
