Thanks for the advice on Lola's food. Right now, she's on Iams Veterinary Formula: Skin Coat Plus. A 6lb. bag costs more than $20. But daddy says it's worth it, if she's improving. I rather that then she having to take shots. She does eat chicken, some raw beef, but was discouraged by the vet, saying she won't have the proper nutrition. I had tried the Blue Buffalo brand, but she didn't like them. Jean, I add fish oil to her dry food too. She loves mackerel! I'll try green beans.. she can't stand carrots. Ahhh.. Jamie, Lola can tell the difference between prime rib and rib eye!! We 'tested' her once, and she chose the prime rib!! Pegi, that's years of Christmas presents for Mandy!. May this be the only surgical expense for you. Corgis are cute dogs! In fact I have never met an ugly dog!! Karen, Tn. is smack in the middle of USA. You'd be making new wonderful memories, and like you say, greater chances of family visits. Plus the weather is a bonus! ![]() As to the quilts, sistahs and a brother contributed floral blocks. Sweet Barb (Quilter5) sewed borders around the blocks. She also put the pillows together after Mittsy had embroidered the twins' names. I turned the blocks into quilts.. and did the amateurish appliques. Couldn't have done this without help from all. Again, I apologize for taking so long. ![]() |

We are moving to Knoxville area. I had been considering it for some time. Last year I went down in mid-Jan to put on my grandsons wedding the end of March. Temps in the 70s in Feb. convinced me. |

Morning sistahs!! Sharon, Jamie.. it wasn't all me doing those 2 quilts!! Got lots of help from Barb here. When she sent the bordered and signed blocks, I told her that I'd do one quilt, a reversible, since there were more than enough to do the backing with blocks too. But then, I thought, why not make 2. It sure would be the best idea for a family. On the back of the first quilt,all fabrics were chosen with her activities in mind. There's a fabric on garden implements and of course apparels, like hats and gloves. Then the John Deere tractor fabric. Bet Austin was tickled! Can't forget Sue's love of chickens. Lucky to have fabric of canned produce, which she does yearly. Her canned tomato juice, beets and green beans are sooooo yummy!! Her working history with apples, must be noted too. Then the fabrics with packets of seeds and one of her favorites, cherries. I was very blessed that I inherited the canning and seed packets fabric from a church sistah who doesn't quilt ![]() Sue, as I sewed, prayers were said. More of "Dear Lord, no rippings!" If you had found all the names that had helped with blocks, I'm sure you got misty eyed when you found Dorothy's. ![]() Jamie, this was done, when you went missing, due to your health. Looks like I'll be finding recipes for Lola's food. What did your family has in the soupy food, Sue? Karen, I am supposed to visit a BFF who moves to Lebanon. Wonder if it's a hop away. Would love to bring you new memories!! Gonna be busy in the garden. Got more irises to plant. Courtesy of a church sister who's tired of her massive collection of irises and want to plant rose bushes. Have a wonderful Tuesday my dahlins' ![]() This is the upright backing of the first quilt, with Sue's activities. ![]() |

Aaaah the joy! Tenants had bad accident a while ago, and don't have a car. Thus they are staying with his mother. That's fine, except when they left, they turned off the heat...yup the pipes froze and burst. Walt discovered this when he went to show the buyer the rental house. Nice Huh? We are now embroiled with insurance adjusters and repair people. We have to leave on Friday and had planned to continue on to TN after our daughter and son in laws 25th anniversary party. Looks like we may have to return here until all is settled. |
|
|||
Arrrghhhh so sorry to read that Karen!! Such irresponsible tenants. Hope the insurance adjusters work favorably towards you. |

Yes Jaye it all made me so heartfelt and seeing the names of so many wonderful people. I m blessed. I did see Dorothys and i placed my hand on her's and said a silent prayer . Tears came to my eyes . That is when Lucy decided she needed to investigate . :) I placed my hand and gently held it over all the squares and felt all the love and warmth from all of you. Life without garlic , just plain stinks ! |

Such a wonderful quilt full of memories. You gals are terrific! DH told me to cancel his urologist appointment as he didn't think he could walk to his office. I told him it is more important to see the oncologist and they have wheel chairs you can borrow at the clinic if you need one. I suggested going to emergency and he didn't want to as he said they would put him in the hospital. What can you do with a stubborn man!!!!! Saw Todd's new toy on facebook LK and of course that must be your beautiful Luna guarding it. Having a hard time getting on facebook through IE so have to go to Google Chrome and I sure have missed a lot there too. ![]() ![]() Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |
|

Tell him what I tell Tood, when I find him on the floor, that is when I call an ambulance. Men are so stubborn when it comes to Dr.s! Yes that is Luna, she likes the new truck too! Pegi, I have not used ie for years, I use chrome all the time. |

You can purchase QuikStop (Kwikstop) styptic powder and I think also a liquid form at PetCo http://www.petco.com/product/6112/Kwik-Stop-Styptic-Powder.a... or try these vet approved home remedies http://www.vetinfo.com/home-remedy-to-stop-dog-nail-bleeding... http://halseyeastanimalclinic.com/homecare/nailtrim.html What I don't know is why books are written. |
