| That is a lot of snow Barb! I am with Thunder, we all need the moisture, but you can have that snow! I spent the first 20+ years of my life in Michigan, I am so glad I am in Texas now! |

brrrrr snow, Marilyn?!?! yuck! We're supposed to get under 5cm today, and it will help cover the ice, so I'm in favour of that, but NOT the amount you're going to get!!  btw - Thunder - I believe you posted a poem re: POW/MIA table? Could you (or whoever did post it originally) post it again? I promised an elder in my church that I would. He belongs to the Legion and wears his medals proudly. He's about 86 yo.  |

No rain today, sun is out but it is chilly.  pictures of snow is so pretty, glad I'm not in it. As a kid we loved the snow, couldn't wait to go out and play in it. Riding sleds down big hills, we were brave then. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

| Not again Barb!! Snow scenes are beautiful to look at, but I wouldn't want to live in that surrounding. I'll take ice in my drinks, that's about all! So sorry you may have to hire some high school kids again to help remove all that snow for you. But I'm glad that's all you're having to deal with and not a power outage or something much more serious. |

It is set for one. This table is our way of symbolizing that members of our profession of arms are missing from our midst. They are commonly call P.O.W.'s or M.I.A.'s, we call them brothers. They are unable to be with us this evening and so we remember them. This table set for one is small... it symbolizes the frailty of one prisoner against his oppressors. The table cloth is white... it symbolizes the purity of their intentions to respond to their country's call to arms. The single rose displayed in a vase reminds us of the families and loved ones of our comrades in arms who keep faith awaiting their return. The red ribbon tied so prominently on the vase is reminiscent of the red ribbon worn on the lapel and breasts of thousands who bear witness to their unyielding determination to demand a proper accounting for our missing. A slice of lemon is on the bread plate... to remind us of their bitter fate. There is salt upon the bread plate... symbolic of the family's tears as they wait. The glass is inverted... they cannot toast with us tonight. The chair is empty... they are not here. Remember... all of you who served with them and called them comrades, who depended on their might and aid, and relied on them... for surely... they have not forsaken you. |

| We don't have to hire the kids Jaye-our own do it. My daughter and grandson came and cleared us. They used the snow blower where they could and then shoveled the deck and a path to the oil fill and electric as it was on rocks. Never use the machine when it could send rocks flying. |

| so happy you have the family close by to help you out Barb. My sister Had my Momma come spend a few days with her, she has a wood stove, and a small generator. they were concerned about power outages. are you in area going to be hit by the next storm?? Orko? Just caught part of it on the news, not sure exactly where it is going to. I will stop complaining about 60 degrees  |

| 59 here today (TN). Think we've found a house, working on the details. Hate the thought of going back to MI to pack up. I do need to make a T-shirt quilt for the D.I. scholarship raffle before we move. It won't take me long though, usually less than a week. I will make these as long as my grands are involved in the program. This year DGS has taken position of alumni director. Unfortunately his mom , my DD is no longer head of sales for the state and he is not getting much cooperation from the current head as far as promoting the raffle goes so he will work in that area also. |

| LK - that is Exactly what I was looking for!!!! Thank you! I've forwarded it on to our Pastor, one of our elders (he was in the war), and our Board Chair of the church. We may use this at our Remembrance Day Service next year (Nov 11th). Slightly altered however, cuz it won't be evening, and we wouldn't be toasting in the church service. However, we do play Taps, and lower the flag. We usually have Girl Guides (Girl Scouts to you) bring the flag up, and a teen from our congregation says "In Flander's Fields". It's quite moving. I think the addition of this "table" would be ever so meaningful. Karen - yaaaaaaaaaaay on hopefully finding "THE" house for you & the family! "tied at the hip" eh? hmmmm yes, Sometimes this is a good thing  |

| It's more pros than cons when you have family living close by... WAIT.. what am I talking??? Adding.. WHEN the family is a loving family, that is!!  And Karen, I know yours is! Oh Barb, don't you wish just for one year, there'll be no snow? Not complaining of my 50 weather here either Thunder. Things quiet down somewhat with your niece, LK? |

| Yes, she called my Sister and apologized. My Sister for a call from the nursing where Dad is, and they have an opening for him there, he won't have to move to the new one after all. He is happy, as he has friends where he is at. |
