| Sorry to hear about your problems Pegi! Pretty sad those types of programs are so limited in funds, and even more so now with the budget cuts. Praying there will be another programs to pay for the meds he needs. Karen, praying you get a good buyer for your home soon! |

Bob - young?  Margaret, at our church, said now that he's older, he deserves more respect. I gave a derisive "snort" Pegi - here's hoping you get other funds for the treatments and meds.......... I wouldn't move to the States simply for that reason - health care......  BUT - we do have snow....... 6:53 am, and was taking my coat off, after giving Bob a ride to work on the other side of the city, through the 2nd busiest part of the City............ and it's snowing again. Not happy-making........ Hope they finish up there, and go to work downtown...... it's much clearer there. Plus, it's just strarting to lighten up, so it was pitch dark when I was driving. I don't like driving in the dark when it's snowy/slippery and morning rush hour.  |

| I'm feeling a little less stressed out this morning. The social worker called; she had been checking with these funding places. She said there is still money in the Chronic Disease Fund and check with the pharmacy to see how much is left, she thinks there should be enough for a few more months. Have to deplete that fund before we can move on to find more. Susan, don't know why they call it Castrate, hate that word, but that is when the prostate cancer has spread to his bones and prostate gland is inoperable. I may get my medical degree yet! Thanks for all the prayers. Social worker said not to worry we will find more funding. I can't imagine why the US has to pay so much when countries like France can get it so much cheaper or at no cost at all. Jaye, thank God you have such a loving sister to help you out. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

Oh our health care is at rock bottom IMHO Seems we just cant win anymore ? had a good work out today got my hair done. went a bit lighter . needed a change  it was a good day today. Told some funny stories to John my PT. He laughed . She had such a fun sense of humor ! i do miss it  ordered a new bra too. LOL if you saw what i m wearing now, oh my, you would think i was homeless Bwhaha it got holes in them and the hooks are gone, only got 1 left holding the stupid thing on .  Life without garlic , just plain stinks ! |

| Thanks for the prayers sistahs. Brought Lola to the vet this morning, what I thought was a cyst turned out to be a tumor under her precious jaw. All the time, while waiting at the vet office, she refused to leave my arms and had her front paws together. I told other humans that Lola's praying!  Appointment for removal set for next week. I can't worry too much about this, if not I'll transfer my fears on to her. Barb, Singapore is also another country with universal health care. All it is, the citizens pay into the health care system for a very low fee. No privatised insurances to gouge you. But you too have the option of private doctors and hospitals, only if you're willing to pay exorbitant prices. The govt. facilities and medical personnel are just as good with very up to date equipments. And yes, American drug companies like Abbot Lab and Pfizer.. . do business there too.. just as in France. As you've said, no CEOs would be making extra profits or bonuses. They deal with the govts. Have a good weekend my sistahs! I'll be sewing away! |

| Lost that post so will try again. Got much needed rain during the night. My plants should be happy for a while. A little sun breaking through always changes my dreary mood. Keeping Kel in prayer, Jaye. Poor Lola, hope all goes well. Another week slipped by me and I've accomplished nothing worth while. It has been a year that I started sending information to the state to reclaim property. I had to get DH to sign papers too because they said he gets half. All goes in the same place (bank), but after I got those papers off I had to wait another month. Finally check came for DH, but not mine. I finally called and they had re-deposited my share back into their fund. Glad I called, well my check finally came so that is all settled. Now DH said he can get that truck running right. We never know when it will start or not. He never feels good enough to get any chores done, and I refuse to have to learn how to work on vehicles.  Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

| You know me well sistah. I made Lola stay in the bedroom, so she won't feel my fear. Whatever it is, I hope the vet can heal her. If I had to go into a bigger town for a specialist, I'll do it. After all, she's my daughter, given a tail.. |

| hey all sending Lola healing energy to her and you Jaye. glad you got your check Pegi good work out at gym today dd the treadmill for an hr on full speed . well a very fast walk pass . busy day today got some wine for tonight kids are at a sleep over so its me and the dog ,,,, boring .
