 We said goodbye to August but not the heat. Will look forward to more tolerable temps and lesser mosquitoes! Good for you Audrey! You fought for what's right. Seems that senior citizens now are treated more and more like second class citizens. Hugs Susan. Bob's company is a POS!! He should be included in the company picnic, after all, he's not fired, just a casualty of the company's downsizing. What would it cost to feed one man? Had a feeling that you're depressed for not gracing these two sites. Since February? With you, it seems like years! I'm glad that you're working now and starting a new routine. Don't go missing too long please. Consider this as your support group. Prayers help, but nothing like knowing you could air what's ailing you and none will condemn you for it.  It's not a good day for me yesterday. That ugly depression head is trying to gain control. Yep, me too .... I had stopped taking meds for this for almost a year and the route I took to ward this off, seems to be working. But yesterday, the heaviness paralyzed me. Just want to veg and cry and cry for no reasons. Can't do anything, anything that Kel did seems to upset me. Even the way he eats!! Then he made the mistake of trying to make light of things. Ran outside, picked up a shovel from the garden, brought it in, and started to strike him. His reflexes were fast! If not you'd see on the news today.. giant of a man beaten to a pulp by short Asian wife  I'm back to my normal self today. Told myself last night either I be a victim or a victor. Got to focus on 'rainbows' and not let the dark take over my mind. Whew.. I'm writing a journal aren't I?  Karen, your magazine puts me in a positive mood too. Found inspiration to make a QOV for my ex. He's a VietVet and before he journeyed into eternity, I think if I were to make a QOV, I'll start on his first. Have a good September sistahs.  |

| Thank you, Jaye. I'm working very hard on some Round Robin stuff..... one of them is Christmas themed, and so nice!! It's cheering me up, actually! and making me feel more productive, which is always a good thing.  Audrey - hugs to you, girl......... a senior's apartment block should be able to have grandkids to visit, but not constantly...... and noisy to boot!! There should be some more consideration of people who have grown to like it QUIET!!!  sorry for yelling |

| Audrey, any resolutions taken by the manager without eviction? The kids aren't supposed to live there anyway. It's a hostel for senior citizens right? Not grandkids! Susan, I'm sorry I missed your call. I've been going to bed pretty early. Get myself all worked up during the day, and even though it's not all physical work, my brains will be fried when the sun comes down. I am so happy that you found some joy with your craft. May the Lord keeps giving you happy distractions. This year, the Kahili gingers show off a bit more. Last year, there were only 2 blooms! Must be the rains. I am hoping we'll have a very late winter. Got some brugs that just put out buds, anxious to know what color they'd be!  |

| Thanks to you all for your thoughts! I got everything worked out, and it's been QUIET above me! I told the manager WHY I hit the ceiling, because she told me not to talk to the other tenant, and her eyes blinked! She knew I had her! She said she would have to rent to anyone disabled with children, as it would be discrimination not to. BUT:these are not her kids! They're grands, and she's not supposed to babysit anyone!. I told her I would keep a journal of everything, since the other tenant complained in writing, and she blinked again! She knows I'm right! She knew when I moved in I didn't want to be around noisy kids! So there!!! I'm through ranting!   |

It's football season  Watched Florida being hit by Miami Hurricanes and now another SEC game. After this, my team playing against UAB. Life is sweet when one's fav. team wins. Of course you shouldn't be held responsible for a legit complain Audrey. Rules are made for a reason right? |

| Kind of laying low, DH had me worried he was on his way out, he can get a little dramatic at times. Now that a trip to ER has found some problems he is ready to "rumble" again. Still weak, but hoping time will solve that. He was getting so bad he was afraid to drive, need to change that and soon. 33 hours in ER is just a little too long. In the evening the ER waiting room is packed with people, and I'll be not all of them are emergencies. This heat wave has got to stop! Some places getting rain, but we haven't seen a drop,. Our summer is staying for the fall. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

| Pegi, we had our "wet Sept." in July and Aug. Today it'll be 91* and tomorrow 92* But the nights are in the 60s, so I can take it, as long as I don't have to go out in it! Sorry he's sick, better soon!  |

| DH has an early appointment with oncologist and next day chemo treatment. I'm praying for the day they will say he is in remission. Thanks all for the prayers. We are promised cooler temps. for the coming week, some places are still in the triple digits. We have our cooler nights too which helps a lot. We did have some days and nights that we miserable, hope that is the end of them. Sept. can be one of our hottest months. Every year they talk about the drought, but this year I didn't hear anything. Since every year we have the same problem maybe they are tired of talking about it. Yes, Susan 33 hours in ER. It was because he was given two units of blood and I know that takes a long time. Kept him in ER instead of putting him in a private room thus saving me $170 a day for hospital room. So many people in ER that the nurses were really kept busy. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

| Pegi, how were Darwin's appointments/treatments? Any amount of time in ER can cause anxiety overload, but 33 hours, that's anxieties on steroids! The most I had spent in an ER is 12 hours and that's torture. We shan't give up praying for Darwin. We're getting cool mornings but back to summer afternoons. This month, we don't see much rain and I pray that your area won't be hit by drought and those almost annual fires. Am trying here to stick to a regular morning routine, but some mornings, I just can't seem to find the oomph! My body's been craving salty food and I had been binging on those no no potato chips while watching football! Serves me right when I see my face and body swollen the next morning! May be that's why my energy's low in the mornings!! Susan, I hope you're liking your new job. |

| Going to try and pull some more weeds today, Looks like the end of my tomatoes so have to clean out that section of my raised bed. No freid green tomatoes this year again for DH. I think DH only has one more chemo treatment left, but the PSA level is slowly starting to creep up. Will have to wait until he sees the oncologist on the 4th of Oct. to find out any more news. He said the Norco isn't working any more so wants stronger pain killers. The pain has always been in the groin area so has an appointment with primary doctor this Thursday. If anyone mentions Morphine to him he thinks that is only for people who are dying and wants no part of that med. Have to take a book back to the library today or pay a fine. Don't know how much they charge for late books but I don't want to find out by being late. I love books!! Just got a few more freebies for my kindle so I should get busy reading them. I just want to compute, read and play in the dirt. Life is fragile, handle with prayer. |

| Pegi, I could see a little girl making mud pies! I have a Kindle, too, but I quit reading a few years ago. Don't know why, I'd been reading for 70 years. I play games on mine. I got Backgammon yesterday, but I don't know how to play! I just pushed "buttons"! Most libraries don't charge but a few cents a day as late fees. Ask when you go, so you wont have to worry next time! |
