Tabor City weather has been weird. It's the 60s this morning (supposed to be the 50s for this county, according to the meteorologist) and I'm pretty sure it will rise to the 80s again with some rain. As long as we are not getting snow.

Managed to finish one of the UFOs. A purse, and I'll be trying to s l o w l y persuade my wrist to crochet and finish joining the granny squares.
Learnt to crochet when I was 12, but holding the hook like a pen. Didn't know it's the wrong way till I came here. I also learnt the Japanese way, via diagrams.
Took some time for me to adjust to written instructions.

It's in the 30s here this morning and should be climbing upwards to maybe a low 60s. But expecting a hard freeze by tomorrow morning.
Nothing much to report as to what I'll be doing. Tried to crochet last night while watching the games, IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Think today, I'll just sort some leftover fabrics to turn them into charm packs. Now this doesn't require meticulous attention!

21* here last night, only up to 20* today! We saw a field full of white geese yesterday morning, by night they were gone! They looked like a field full of snow! Guess they knew the freeze was coming! BTW, we're on the migration path for them, sometimes the sky is full of geese!

It didn't freeze today, but we are expecting more serious cold weather.
I'm just glad that I have loads of soup packages to be ready for instant warm meals!
Making soup today too potato with smoked sausage sliced in it. 30 here too. not much in the way of snow today. Plow finally came through, was nice, didn't bury my car. We are past the end of the road but have a circle so plow comes in and cleans us out so he doesn't have to back all the way down the road. Hubby usually has coffee waiting for him.

Potato soup was very good really hit the spot and warmed us up a bit. Cheated, used the Bear Creek mix. It's as good as homemade and done in 15 mins.
Sorry everyone is having some bad weather. It was really warm out today, in the 70's. Rain did come, but seemed to miss us. I'm glad I don't have to bring in my plants. I'd be in real trouble with just no room inside for them.

Goodness gracious, everybody's eating some form of potato soup yesterday! We had potato cheese soup with sausages too Karen!! Used only instant mash potato, canned cheese soup but good smoked sausages.

Believe me, I feel very sorry for my sisters who are experiencing snow.
I know what you all go through. Yes, snow is lovely to look at and have fun in.. but I won't want to be waken up by huge snow plows daily, having to shovel the driveway, keep rinsing the undercarriage of the trucks, and worse, finding myself snowed in.
Had lived for 3 winter months in Merrilville, Indiana and that was enough for me!
