Well, I had one of those rare things....... an idea! lol I've taken a turkey out of the freezer tonight, and decided I'd have a Thanksgiving dinner (maybe with a couple of friends?) this weekend - guess Saturday.......
There'll be a lot of leftovers, but what the heck, eh?
and yes, I know that Christmas is just around the corner and we'll have yet another Turkey then, but.... oh well

It's a 17lb one that we got when the Church had a dinner, and had bought too many. Thursday is the day Bob & I deliver sandwiches for the Drop In Center for the homeless (care of our Church - they make the sandwiches for them), and I guess I'll have a lot of leftover turkey to make some too!!

Happy Belated Birthday Audrey!! I do hope your day was a pleasant one.
Hi there Sharon. We understand you've been busy with your writing, and a birthday is just an inconvenient reminder of our real age!! I'm stil 30 everyday except when birthdays come around
That is what I'll be doing too either tomorrow or Saturday, Susan.
It will be a great weekend for just staying home and watching football! Mine will be an 11 pound turkey. With the cats, I hardly have any leftovers!
Bless you gal for still doing awesome work for the homeless.
It was 22 this morning, and lo and behold, a nice 72 now. Kel's not too keen on going shopping later, Black Friday isn't a special day for folks like us with no money!! Still, got to pick up kitty sand and food.. and maybe there'd be something that's on sale that I need.

Lol Barb! I read you! Truly doesn't make any sense considering you're exposing yourself to fights. That's what I've been reading, WM customers tweeting of brawls.
We did make that trip, and there's no crowd. The electronic sales were still on, and it only proves that we live in a poor area!!!
There's a camera I eyed that is off a hundred bucks. No, I didn't get it.. but eBay had been selling it waaaaay cheaper than WM!
Kel's happy to get his sodas at 65 cents for a 2 liter bottle! Now that's a great deal!
Where will you be spending Christmas, Audrey? I hope not by yourself?
DH is going to ask oncologist if he can take off the month of Dec. on the chemo treatments. He is feeling pretty good right now, after so long of feeling bad and he doesn't want to feel that way over the Christmas holidays. My next big plan is finding money for shopping. Wish I had done some of my crafts so I'd had a few gifts, but since most of us are still fighting the economy we are just keeping it low again. There are just 2 little ones, my brother's g-grandchildren and I will buy gifts for them.
Well, off to my messy kitchen and see if I can clean out a path.

As long as I don't have to stand for very long, I do pretty well! I found out my pancreas is not functioning right, and I'm trying to deal with that! Right now, my tummy hurts! How do you stop gas from accumulating?
I'm looking forward to Christmas, I'm going to my daughter, Lisa's!
Have you tried Beano? It says to take one before you eat and there will be no gas. I don't know if it works or not as I (knock wood) don't have that problem.

Think I might have to try Beano on Lola, Barb!! Especially when she begs for cheese!
Morning sistahs.
Lisa will be so happy to have you over for Christmas Audrey. Hope on that day you won't be hurting.
Make sure you avoid all gas forming food!
Pegi, Christmas is for the your little ones. You'd find some cheap gifts at the Dollar Tree. Let their parents get the more expensive ones. That;s why I am upset over that commercial that targets grandmas.
Christmas is not about what you can get, it's about honoring Christ's birth.
Saturday all day was college football for me, and the football angel didn't grant my wish
But, being glued to the tv has one advantage. I managed to finish one crochet project.
Yes, I'll try to post a picture of that later.
Yesterday, I decided to make stuffing with sausage for Kel. The whole pan was gone before bedtime!! He gorged on that watching NFL football and then his favorite tv shows!
Anyone ever freezes stuffings? Think I'll do that, portion them out then freeze so he can always have excess to his favorite dish.
