Hi Maria, glad you are here. Pssst....it was the naughty habit one....I didn't want to expose you nor do I want either of us to further suffer persuasion to 'reform' Hilarious!

Hey...guess what my neighbor picked up at a rural garden center she stopped at today???....I had told her I wanted a mountain fleece and shown her your picture and Ernie's and she saw one and brought it to me right after my meeting today. It's a small one but in bloom. I'm excited!

Greta, Cece....goils jes like to have fun..... Rolling my eyes. You pickin' on me? Crying

Cece, chicken manure is good fertilizer, which is another plus, however it needs to be composted, too hot if used too soon.

My avatar is the look on the Raccoon's face when he encountered our last coop.... lol!

Seriously we went up to Urbana (about 90 miles north of here) and 'proofed' a coop about a month ago for a DG Friend.
She had lost almost her entire flock to first a raccoon, next a coyote then probably a weasel or mink over a two week period.
We spent about 3 hours on the enclosure and she hasn't lost any since.
The next week we moved and proofed a run for her new brood.
So far after 3 weeks.......
We'll be heading back up to do the actual coop that will attach to this run.
She's figuring out a design.

I'll get some yard shots up.
I've been busy taking butterfly and dragonfly shots for sale.
Haven't done many yard shots.

Here's an old English Double Chair we redid.

What? Football already? Wasn't it just over with? Glad he's got a room of his own to view it in and I don't have to listen to those babbling commentators fill in the dead air. Bleahhhh!

I'd have chickens, but then at the end of summer SOMEONE would have to (shudder) turn them into food, and there are no volunteers here. Besides, I would probably name them all, Clucky, Fifi, Ginger, Maizie and then what? Can't bring them inside, the cats would chase them into a frenzy and then I'd be buried in cat hair AND feathers.

Nice to see you Ric,and see that you're still dedicated to doing projects! I like the two seater, esp. the color!

Ric, great job on the chair and I like the color too. Wow, big chicken run, quite a few of those 16 ft farm panels in that one! Not your urban backyard set up for sure!

Sheila, your cats would love to play with a few chickens, but yeah, messy!
