We haven't had any violent weather in a few weeks.
It's all been going north or south of us.
Mostly just nice soaking rains!
Amazingly, considering all the containers we have, we've only done one deep watering all Summer.

Here's the new Workshop today.
The bed in front is Robyn's new 'Rabbit Garden'.

Here's a shot of the Sewing Room east wall.
I finally got around to siding it.
Those are dog-eared fence boards.
As is the Workshop siding.

Wonderful pics Ric.........Love your Alo....

Thunder and lightening kept me up most of the night. Darn doorbell won't work under normal conditions, let it storm and every crack of lightening and every boom of thunder it starts singing away. I say that cause it is still set on Jingle bells from Christmas.

Hey, Ric, Robin's growing rabbits?? LOL Your gardens and beds look fabulous, just like I like them, crammed with plants and hardly any visible dirt. House is looking good too.

Yeah, we had hellacious weather last night. Don't those fools that drive home from downtown remember that those underpasses ALWAYS flood? Or do they think they have Magic Cars that can swim through water?

Mary, I enjoyed the visual of you chasing the mouse with the pitchfork!!

It's best to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Took a ride around the river and took some pics. Not bad but not good either. Hope those people get their picnic table and lawn chairs back. The riverwalk you can't really walk. I started another thread for the Rains July 2010 if anyone is interested.......

Glad the weather didn't get too violent for you all last night.

Cece that's Alocasia 'Sarian'.
The hard part on that one is wintering.
I picked up 3, well 4 now, new EE's.
Alocasia 'Sarian' and 'Stingray' I bought in Columbus on a DG trip.
'Gigantea' was gifted to me at the RU, from the same GH in Columbus.
Violet Stem was a gift/trade from a DG'er in KC.
I'll be wholesaling them come Spring.

I'll get a closer shot of the 'Rabbit Bed'.

It's already 82° (Heat Index 88°) at 9:30AM.
Heading for 97° w/ a H.I. of 105° or more!
The plants are loving this Deep South stuff....us not so much.

We were lucky too in that the worst of the storms passed south of us. We got plenty enough rain but with the major part going south, the river shouldn't go any higher than it is. If it was North of us, we would have to still worry about it rising up higher yet.

I thought I was suppose to have 4 kids today but so far it's only 3. Broghen's mom is off work this week so his schedule is a bit off the norm. I know she said she was keeping him home yesterday but thought she said he was suppose to be here today. Oh well, we are confined to the house and I'll get paid even if he stays home so I'm not concerned.

When is Carol due back?

Nic pics Ric!

Hope you are able to make the best of this day you were given.

Just checking in, letting everyone know I am okay! I think we were just north of the worst of the rain. Fortunately, I work fairly close to where I live, and did not have to drive through any of the roads that eventually got shut down. And my DH called me to let me know the storm was coming, so I left work early.

Mary I am glad your truck was unharmed. I have heard that mice/rats/etc. can cause quite a bit of vehicle damage.

Jamie, no problem on the name. I have been called worse things!

Ric, your place looks just heavenly!

Glad to hear my Wisconsin neighbors are making it through the storms okay.

Hope everyone has a decent day!
