For anyone having difficulty with the multiple pages for one thread, Jeannie pointed out that you can change that in your preferences:
Quoting: .... if you go to the top of the screen, select "Your Account", and then from the tabs shown, select "Preferences", (10th item down) you should see a setting for "Show how many items per page?". Set that to the maximum (500), and things should be back to the way they were for you (all posts on one page)
I had a great day yesterday with 2 of my grand kids. I was pleasantly surprised when Tiana didn't cry when her mom left!

back today mid afternoon. Haven't even attempted to look at and edit the pics I have taken. Used 2 different cameras. The point and shoot on the way up and back pluse I think for the Back Stage Studio B tour at the Grand Ole Opry. I think that is all on that one. Then the other one has pictures of the Honky tonks in downtown Nashville, the Hall of Fame, the Ryman (original Opry House), the Opry Hotel (amazing, a 4.5 acre garden INSIDE the hotel.) and the Grand Ole Opry itself,
Was the best time I have had in ages. I think that is what I needed for I feel refreshed and renewed even though at the moment I am dog tired.
Will get to the pics in a day or so and will post a few if those are interested.

CeCe, it sounds like a fabulous get away for you. I'm looking forward to the pictures. I wish I had someone close to come help me learn how to get my pictures from the camera to the computer and printer.
It's HOT, HOT, HOT here this afternoon. Too hot to be outside for more than a few minutes. I worked outside for a while this morning and got a lot of work done. The lemon balm has gotten into a raised bed and I wanted it out of there and cut down around the bed so I got that done. There was an aqua basket of tulip bulbs in one corner which I was delighted to see had multiplied more than I had any idea they had. So I emptied out all the soil and refilled it with a new amended mix. There were so many bulbs and pups that I had to go searching for a second aqua basket. I ended up digging up 3 other baskets and taking the same care of them. The ants are bad this year so I used season long insecticide in the soil mix. It's all watered in now with water from the kitchen AC unit. I still have some lemon balm to cut off on the back side of the bed. It will look so much better when I finally finish the project.
I had a busy, but fun weekend. A couple grand kids stayed over night Sat. night and then my DIL came Sunday morning and we went to church together. Alicia and her boyfriend were home too and Alicia also went to church with us.
I have just not been "into" my gardens this year. As a result, they don't look so great and therefore I don't have pictures to add.

I haven't been into my gardens this year either Sheri. They are so full of weeds it is overwhelming. Must be the year for it as I have noticed in the neighborhood a lot of the yards are looking pretty rangy.
We went to Nashville, Did I tell this? We left Wed July 13th and returned home on Sun. July 17th. Had a blast, spent a lot of quality time just me and Ed. We needed that. I think.
I wish we could go away on a vacation like that. Our trips are few and far between and close by. I'm afraid to drive in the car too far, just going to Jeannie's or my DD's place starts to bother my back. DH REFUSES to fly. He has a fear of heights and I tell him I know several people who also have the fear and have no problem flying but he won't listen to me.
Jeannie and I have been stressing the past few days. (probably me a little more than her as I am a natural worrier and can worry over a splinter that won't come out) We got word that our sister in Texas, the one who comes up and makes Christmas cards with us every year, is in the hospital. She is having kidney issues. As of last night, the news was that something was stopping the flow of blood going into her kidneys. She is scheduled for an MRI today.
Lol, Mary - that was Sheri's DH with the fear of heights!
Okay, this may be TMI for some of you:
I finally called my doctor's office to schedule an appointment with another doctor. I had a great doctor three years ago, but the practice got bought out, and he left. Since then, I have been seeing a guy who is best described by the joke "What do you call the guy who graduated at the bottom of his class in Medical school? Doctor!"
I saw my regular doctor two weeks ago, after my annual blood tests (I have under-active thyroid, diabetes, and all the usual stuff that goes with that). Each year, I have a number of tests done to check my kidney and liver function. This year, two of my kidney function tests were just barely on the high side, and one of them was normal but has been inching towards high over the past few years. He kind of blew off the test results, saying one test was probably high if I were dehydrated, and the other test was high because it is a 'calculated value'. He wasn't worried at all about the one that was creeping up.
Then we looked at my thyroid test. It was high too, meaning my medication needs adjusting. His suggestion? Let's re-run the test. What?? I have had this thyroid condition for close to 20 years now, and I have never *once* had a doctor who questioned the lab results! Good grief! I told him no, and to increase my medication - which he did.
So now, with our sister having kidney problems, I'm thinking its probably not a good idea to take this doctor's word, and I really should consult with another doctor about the lab results. I will see the new doctor next Wednesday. Hopefully everything is okay, but kidneys are nothing to mess around with!
