There are three kinds of dehydration. 1) Too little H2O 2) Too low or imbalanced electrolyte levels and 3) #'s 1 & 2 combined. #3 is the most common. If you drink too much water alone your electrolyte levels drop. Basically they get flushed out. Then different minerals start replacing each other.
