Have we really run out of things to say? This cubit has died down considerably.
I tend to smoke a lot more in winter because I'm stuck in the house. I never smoke outside, and so I sometimes go a couple of hours without smoking if I get so busy with a gardening chore that I don't want to come inside for a cigarette break. In winter, however, I smoke my head off.
I think it's funny that you don't smoke outside, that's about the only place you can smoke these days in this state. I smoke plenty during the summer but probably moreso in the winter out of sheer boredom. Sit at the computer and smoke like a stack. That I really dislike once it gets too cold to have the windows open for fresh air.
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

I had 2 picture windows in my living room surrounding where the computer (and information/work center) is in one corner. I just had one replaced with a really nice bay window for exactly that reason. In the winter, my living room turns into a little tavern and the only way to clear the air is to open the frontdoor and put on the fans....burrrr! Plus, the thermostat is right across from the door so if I don't turn the heat off entirely, the furnace runs like crazy!...at these fuel prices, the new ventable window, even with all the carpentry, probably will pay me back. Now I just have to make sure of all the plants that come in, I put the most cold tolerant ones nearer the bay. Yep, I smoke most when I am on the computer....outside, I am usually doing something where I need the extra hand.
Perhaps a little hat with one of those long springs and a cigarette holder on the end would work for gardening, and snow handling. Whaddya' think?
