There really isn't that much of a difference between European Spanish and what we hear around here. The main difference that I can see is the slang. It is comparable to the difference between Australian and/or British English and the way we speak English here in the U.S. Australia and Britain both have their own slang words, as do we, but it's still understandable as English. I will have to think about a beginning word or phrase for us.
Actually I did create a word of the day forum. I'm guessing I messed it up somehow because it's showing up somewhere different. I'll ask Dave about it tomorrow. It's been a really long day. I need a yawning smiley.
Hi I took some Spanish in high school, and a refresher class as an adult, but having not used it and it being so many years ago I have forgotten most of it. I'll be checking in regularly as a way to remember some of what I have forgotten and hopefully hold on to it!
I do have a question: how would I tell someone I only know a little Spanish...I hate to have someone under the impression I know Spanish and have them rattling on....
