Lots to learn, literally overnight> you'll do fine; just try to find that moment of quiet time you're going to need.

I don't think the patient (hubby) ever comprehended that I would watch him breathe just to make sure he was alive.

My biggest regret was leaving him in ICU recovery after his bypass surgery - he FELT that his care was not up to what he needed and I wasn't there to help. (How is that for guilt?)

Exhausting! Either he was stoic or he was a PITA....and he got used to ME getting everything for him.

Why is it that friends one assists say thank you but a spouse can't seem to bring themselves to do so?
