I've never tried that. I have a different, earlier Nook than Julie's "glow" Nook.

I usually only request and download one book at a time. Sometimes one of my "holds" comes available and I download it so I have two or three at once. But more often than not, I finish my books before they're due back @ the library, and I return them early. I don't want to hoard books that I'm not reading when someone else might be waiting for it.

I've finished through "Q" in the Alpine mysteries. I downloaded and started Stalking the Angel by Robert Crais yesterday. It's an Elvis Cole mystery. I've read only a couple of them before, sort of forgot about Elvis. I do like him.

Found a free one Saturday called "When pigs fly" I would have thought Carl Haiisen wrote it, but it was not set in Florida. If you like odd ball goofy crazy situations like Carl writes, you will like this.

Yes, very sad story but a fascinating read anyway.

Yesterday I downloaded the next alpine mystery and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, both from the library. I haven't had a chance to start either of them yet. The Cincinnati Library is getting more and more ebooks, and it's so easy to get them. I haven't bought a book or even read an actual paper book in ages.

We're going on vacation in a few weeks and I need to buy a couple of paperbacks for the beach. (Don't want to take any of out ereaders to the beach). Any suggestions?

I just want an ereader that I can download e books from the internet or on my PC so that I can read anywhere and not carry a book around that I tend to lay down and forget. I have been looking online and all I am finding are Nook or Kindle pads and notepads..most are out of my price range. My daughter got a nice one to less than $80 last Christmas but it is now not available. I need one that is easy to operate...and does not need a slew of apps, or parts to use. Any suggestions? Oh and the screen has to be at least easy for a sight challenged person to adjust type.

I know on line you can still get a kindle for 79 dollars. You can change the font several sizes easily for reading. I keep mine about 2 sizes larger than normal. Easy reading.

and the touch is like only 99 dollars, isn't it? You should get a cover though, that will add another 40 bucks. But it is really worth it.

I'm using our local library almost exclusively for ebooks. Good selection and easy to use. I never buy them.

Touch is $99 but there are a ton of covers on Amazon and NewEgg for under 20 bucks.
I think I paid 16.99 delivered.
Robyn has the regular Kindle (at $79) and likes it just fine.
Her case was the same price.

Reading Tami Hoag Thrillers currently.

Correct Ric, thanks for the clarification. DH got an expensive one and it is molded to the kindle and VERY nice.
You can go cheaper.

I have paid for a few books. I get mostly free. There are lots of good ones out there.

I got one of those $79 Kindles and I love it. And one of the advertisements on it let me get a cover for half price.
