Reading 'Pioneers' by David Macaulley Westward settlement of Ohio which started by a wagon train from Hamilton when it was known as Ipswich Hamlet. Author was here a couple years ago to give a talk. I missed it because of no transportation for us. John had stopped driving. I have his book 1776 as well.

Lucy, you are a wealth of historical information from all that genre you read.
I'll add it to my list but Hamilton is not a quick read. BTW, is your town
named for Alexander?

I got Hamilton married, but then stopped reading---put it off until late because of the small print. When reading 'Pioneers' he turns up in a sentence that he invested in land to the 'west'.

It is small print and not light reading, by any stretch of the imagination, but
I'll eventually get it done. I finished "Caught in the Revolution," and at times
I felt like putting it aside, just not willing to plod through certain sections. I'm
glad I finished it, though, and it should be required reading for all high school
seniors, IMO.
