The Princess Japanese Morning Glory
|Welcome to the Princess Japanese Morning Glory forum!|
The Japanese have used the term hime or Princess to describe the Ipomoea nil that evidence the presence of a pair of tiny (tn) genes.. These plants are smaller in stature, flowers and leaves. When the leaves are variegated, they often reveal a very distinct pattern of variegation with three shades of green and clear white. The common Japanese Morning Glory varieties Cameo Elegance, Beni Chidori and Minibar Rose are all very similar and produce small pink flowers with white centers and margins. They all share the Princess characteristic. I am striving to develop a wider selection of Princess Japanese Morning Glories.
